If Hatton is not that good what is there to really be proud of, that Manny did what he was supposed to do against a fighter that wasn't that good?

Was just odd to say in one breathe this guy sucks (bascially) then talk about how proud he was of the win right after.
I mean yes Hatton was not that good. But, at the same time Pac won his 4th lineal world title in his 4th weight division. Is that something not to be proud of?

Hatton was better against Mayweather than he was against Pac..

This is undisputable and clearly evident to all but the most obtuse of boxing fans, who quite conveniently have nearly all managed to find a home in NSB.

I do agree that Roach should be trying to big up who his fighter has beat, to increase his fighter's rep from beating them. You FAIL again Roach! lol

no its because besides throwing elbows floyd cant fight on the inside cortez wouldnt let them fight on the inside and hes featherfisted so it took him ten rounds for hatton to feel the punches....and because he was running as usual....hatton at 147 is **** he lost against collazo and was almost ko'd if hatton looked like a beast against collazo another featherfisted fighter mayweather would have never fought him

Roach actually has a point though.

I love that whole ****** "punch resistance" thing, I guess Muhammed Ali, George Chuvalo had moutains of "punch resistance".....cause if it would of wore off, they would of been KOed multiple times.

I disagree since Hatton was forced to come up to 147 in advantage for Floyd. Maliggnagi was at his ebst performance being the LINEAL CHAMP at 140 and dominationg Paulie.

                  Floyd's win a Fluke

Lets see how well pacquiao does against mayweather and cotto then we will see how good he is, i dont think he should be saying that about hatton because roach knows he was shot to pieces!

Roach is absolutely right, The fans made Hatton he didnt really do anything apart from beating Tyszu, He was promoted in the biggest and best way by his then promoter frank warren and Hatton just lap up the "Am a simple lad" stuff and the rest was history.

I was shocked when people use to say he was been ducked by certain fighters, At first he was exciting to watch and he had a relentless style but i notice he alway fight stationary targets to make him look relentless and they try to avoid the mover/boxer types and that made me stop going to his fights.

The fact that he was able to compete at the highest level has more to do with the fans he was able to generate and he had the right image, He just doesnt belong at that level because he's too limited.
