Eimantas Stanionis I do believe will bring it and give it his all, but will that be enough is the question? I think his only shot would be to hurt Boots which we have yet to see and how he would respond to it all if it were to happen.
I think everybody is expecting a comfortable Boots win. The only question that remains is - can he do better than Karen and hurt Boots. Perhaps show us some more vulnerabilities.
Boots last fight shown that he can be hit. If Eimantas Stanionis can hurt Boots with a few good shots then I think we will have a very interesting fight. Boots gets very careless with his defense when he is fighting sometimes. This can be his undoing when he goes against a very good opponent.
Stanionis looked good just now at the weigh-in.
He also comes across as genuinely humble and smart. I'd like to see him pull the upset.
Unfortunately we'd then have to endure Hearn cranking up the redemption hype machine.
I have seen zero of Stanionis, so I have zero feel for this fight. Ennis "should " win, but all I am going by is the fact that Ennis has been in the headlines for a couple years and Stanionis has not. That is a recipe to pick a fight wrong. Stanionis seems experienced, calm, and hungry. Ennis seems sharp, excited, and confident.
This has the potential of being a better fight than it has been expected to by the general public be since it was signed.
