It didn't read it as a performance that would generate so much negativity. Not a single comment above that is not a standard casual criticism.
    Therefore, Here's something positive......

He's a short, strong slugger, whose subtitles are too stealthy for casual observers to catch on to.

He won against a top 20 opponent, which is climbing past the other 3,034 professionals.

People who call boxers on this level "bums" have never boxed; guranteed.

    Torrez > Vianello > Ajagba.

Bridgerweight might be a better fit for Torrez. On the other hand, people in the world as tall as Vianello who are capable of boxing better, you can literally count on your fingers.

Torrez passed his big text. He just moved from prospect to fringe contender. It was a close fight, but he won it.

While I don't see the next Marciano, Frazier or Tyson coming out of this, I'd fly to go see Torrez vs Anderson when the time is right.

Vianello is about the same lebel as Ajagba who is now ranked ecen top 10. So that is a good win.

Torrez definitely has flaws but this was still a solid win for him. Torrez vs Ajagba?

Okay here is another POSITIVE thing about Torres. He is a very nice and well spoken young man. ....other than that he is a highlight reel knockout waiting to happen.

In fact, the Ajagba-Vianello fight also revealed the Nigerian's actual level. Which is "mediocre", like the Vianellos, Hrgovics and Torrezes of this world...

Which is better than about 1300 other pros in the world.

I guess guys that reach top 20 are not average.

Your point is correct, but if we're considering top-level HWs, I don't feel like betting on the aforementioned names to become something really big. Especially Vianello, who is clumsy as hell, lacking in coordination and distance.

What should I tell you. It is not really a glamour division. Only Usyk is obviously more skilled than others.

Torrez would be a nightmare at Bridgerweight, possibly Cruiserweight, and maybe, on a good day, Light Heavy.

Fighting guys like Vianello who are just shy of scraping seven foot tall is just bad all around for him (i.e. Jalolov in the amateurs). He got help from the ref last night and I think it affected Vianello's confidence because he was winning when he began establishing that long jab; Torrez had no answers for it.

I like Richard. Good kid, obviously talented, and strong as holy fuck, but he's a very mediocre boxer at best and if he has any hope of slaying real giants, he has got to bring in a new corner, or at least hire someone with a drill sergeant's disposition to scream at him when he makes bad decisions, which he's doing a lot right now.

13-0 and young, so he still has room for improvement. I won't give up on him just yet.

My opinion hasnt changed from the start. Torrez hasn't changed from the start. Somebody said he needs a new trainer. I agree. Torrez has to improve some way.
