Never been a fan of Janibek but he looked sharp against a quality opponent here. Impressive.

Time to get in against real quality opponents, now.

The division is in a sad state of affairs so it's hard to truly judge him, he's definitely good but how good it's difficult to say for sure.

I think that's gotta be true for him too. Hard to know where you stand vs quality competitors in other divisions when he's competing on one of the current weakest in all of (mens') boxing.

Man I can't wait for the 10,000 negative posts about Janibek that you guys are about to give him. You know, just like you do for American fighters when they fight total nobodies. You guys are so consistent. C'mon guys let er rip!

He's held belt for several years and claims none of the champions will fight him. Either his promoter isn't putting respectable money on the table or Alimkhauly is lying.

He struggles to make 160, but seems hesitant about moving up. Hmmmmm....

Janibek only struggled once; there is no pattern of falling ill via dehydration or missing weight at the formal weigh-in. It's also pretty obvious TR doesn't want to put any money behind Janibek because they don't view him as a serious investment. Moving up to 168 won't change that.
