"Based upon the above-mentioned Rules, the WBA has express authority to modify applicable defense periods and otherwise suspend applications of various rules under a special permit"

"Hunter is technically unbeaten in his last 14 starts. That does not include a loss to Artem Suslenkov last May on an IBA-sanctioned card, which is not recognized by official record keepers given the lack of a national governing body overseeing the events"

"Usyk remains the recognized lineal and unified WBA super, IBF, WBO and Ring champion. The 38-year-old southpaw is unaffected by the abovementioned WBA resolution".

    Beautiful.

Somebody needs to get ahold of this sport.

      What a misery.

Pulev is 40+ old ex contender, last I remember he lost to Chisora.

Hunter ducked Hrgovic a few years ago and he fought nobody good in the last years.

Wardley is ranked for beating Clarke.

Miller is a repeated drug cheat, that deserves nothing.

And people cimplain about Chisora maybe getting IBF title shot. Chisora is more deserving contender than all these 4.

I love the guy, he's the fun kind of crazy, but I'll believe he's fighting again when I see him in the ring.
He's well into his 50's and isn't in anything close to fighting shape and hasn't trained clean since the 90's.

There is no chance in hell that he will ever have a serious fight again.

None of them are deserving. Don't let the IBF off the hook just because the WBA is even sadder. If you ranked Chisora's 14 best opponents he went 1-13 in those fights.

Chisora, Pulev, Wardley, Miller, and Hunter are all unworthy challengers. There is no such thing as being more or less deserving, there is deserving and there is not deserving and none of them deserve it.

Usyk is the champion and the only reasonable contenders are Dubois, Parker, and Kabayel. Maybe Ajagba if he wins one or two more fights in a row.

He really should have gotten the W against fat Andy, sure Andy is fat but so is Miller although he was less fat than when he got stopped by Dubois.

I think the idea of the tournament is great. But? One of the fighters in the tournament, a domestic level American Heavyweight in Jarrell Miller should not really be there in my opinion. But apart from that, I really don't think people should be complaining much over the tournament'.

It is quite clear now within the boxing community, that a new clique and cult like movement has appeared 'The clique and movement, involves people who are fixated on there being one belt in the entirety of top level boxing. Which really when you think about it? Is not a great idea. No real global open class sports, just has one global title'.

Hardcore boxing fans, and the analyst of the sport 'Care about titles, but in reality? Casual sports fans, who only for the most part analyse any sport on a surface level. Those type of people only care about fights and match ups. That is why many people on this thread, who I would imagined rate themselves as hardcore boxing fans. Those people need to stop being too overall critical and dramatic'.

I think all the pining and gushing over the Lineal Ring Magazine title is nonsense 'Most casual sports fans, and even boxing fans have no idea about the Lineal Ring Magazine title's history. The facts are? It has not been a real title for decades. When big fights have been announced for decades, the focus has always been the alphabet titles'.

Note: It is the fighters who bring prestige and creditable to World titles 'That is why I personally don't complain or focus too much on World titles. The IBO World title due to the Kiltschko era and fighters like Gennedy Golovkin has increased in prestige. And the WBO world title has became one of the best titles in the sport. Due to past great fighters such as Chris Eubank Senior and Joe Calzaghe defending the titles so many times, throughout their careers'.

If Tyson Fury can disappear for 3 years unfortunately due to his then circumstance, and not fulfil his obligated rematch against a close to 10 year reigning World Champion in Wladimir Kiltschko 'But still be referred to as a Lineal Ring Magazine Champion by certain folk in the boxing community. What does that tell you? It tells you that even the Ring Magazine belt and how it has been managed is many times more worst than any of the Alphabet World titles'.

I am sure, without a shadow of a doubt that the Lineal Ring Magazine title has a great history 'Which is very important to the sport. The theory behind the title is great? The man who beat the man, but that is not how history has played out at least in recent times when it comes to this title'.

To conclude: This tournament that is potentially being organised by the WBA Boxing organisation 'Is a good way to crown the Regular WBA Champion. Once all the fights in the tournament have reached their conclusion'.

It is definitively a better way of crowning the WBA regular Champion 'Than some fighter like Moses Itauma being given a title fight. I think if Itauma team are serious about his ability? He should of been in this tournament instead of Jarrell Miller'.

As for the tournament Winner 'Well at his peak I think Kubrat Pulev is the best fighter in this tournament by quite a distance. But right about now it may be very difficult for him to hold onto his Regular WBA titles. The tournament in some regards is the litmus test for Fabio Wardley, if he is to achieve any accolades at World level? He has to win this WBA tournament' etc.
