And I suppose that makes sense because, why would the people on the side of the winner complain? Anyway, the point is, there are quite a lot of people who thought Katie won both fights.
People emotionally wanted Serrano to win. I had bets on her both times but she relied too much on landing glancing shots and ate a whole bunch of combos. I lost my bets and didn’t feel any controversy, even with the head clash. Not a a Taylor fan but respect her champion pedigree but Serrano lost that first fight and went for a ko in the second and had she fought smarter the second fight would’ve won it but she went in there for a stoppage and got pieced up the second half of the fight.

Kind of hard to fight your fight when you’ve been butted in the second round
If not mistaken that eye was closing by the fifth

I’ll need to watch both fights with more intent, then. They appeared a little difficult to score. One thing is for sure: both clashes were closely contested, exciting affairs. I certainly wouldn’t mind a third meeting.

Amanda’s a real warrior. That second clash over the cut made me wince at home. I thought for sure the fight would be stopped, but she kept right on going. Both women really brought it, no matter what one’s opinions on the headbutts were.

The way these fights are scored can be ridiculous because Taylor gets credit for anything she throws. Serrano obviously had the more damaging punches in both encounters. We're not even talking about the illegal head butts in the second fight.

I can honestly think of no measure by which Taylor won both of those fights. If this was isolated I wouldn't even be so upset however she lost at least two more matches including two some tough Eastern European woman brawler and again it was so obvious.

Katie can do the wrong... Just a downhome honest wholesome pixy! When Katie grunts and her hand moves out? She obviously connects. And every time she gets rocked it's obviously a glancing blow...

Just nice white wholesome Katie smells like lemon pledge! When Katie fights? Sven Otke gets jealous!

And everything in woman's boxing is against good punchers. 2-minute rounds, this reliance on amateur type scoring... No sense of damage done. It's just ridiculous.
