I'm just not buying Dubois vs Parker as a 50/50

I am not sold on Parker being improved or whatever he just fought two, static, limited as you like punchers who throw a grand total of 3 punches a round, between them.
I feel Dubois showed a lot more against Miller, Hrgovic, AJ who are maybe not as 'dangerous' from a sheer power perspective but are no way near as limited.

I think Parker has looked bad for years and years and frankly never lived up to expectations. Currently he is being really hyped for beating two punchers who quite frankly didn't even try. Sounds harsh but is it wrong? They was both pathetic. Wilder didn't throw a punch did he? And Zhang practically needed an oxygen mask after 3 rounds.
He is still the same guy who struggled vs Jack Massey moving up, Junior FA who is awful. I don't think he looked or showed anything great vs Zhang or Wilder he just did slightly more than two guys who did bugger all.

I don't see how he deals with DDDs jab. His pressure, his power, his self belief.
Parker as always will just come to stink it up. He fights every fight like he is in survival mode, there is no urgency or killer instinct and its frustrating.

Parker has a little handspeed and an alright overhand on him.
He is just going to box negatively, land a few overhands, Dubois with his newfound confidence will realise he can take them and just walk him down behind that ramrod jab and bust him up until Lee throws in the towel.

He has nothing for Dubois imo

yea and the odds reflect that

    parker is a 2-1 underdog

his wins are not as decisive. the wilder fight was fairly low output vs a wilder who wasnt there mentally

and the zhang fight was super close,

good gameplans by andy lee to push wilder back and use lead hand feints and control, and to use movement vs a zhang who struggles with stamina late

    he still has defensive flaws.

parker has gotten physically stronger though, you can see it in the shape his body is in

dubois on other hand looks like an animal with very good movement, power, chin and speed

This new improved version of DDD thinks he can beat Usyk in a rematch. So id not think Parker beats this guy. Late stoppage or points win. But more likely points for DDD as Parker got a decent chin.

He is supposed to think and say that.

It's the late stoppage (or late quitage) that Parker has to pin his hopes on. Parker has a great chin, if he can make Dubois work and in the process not wear himself out or get clipped (two big IFs) Dubois will do what Dubois does.

Only thing Parker has improved on is trying to survive.

He offers nothing offensively and his chin is so far gone he goes down with every punch that lands.

Lets face it, Wilder has never beaten anyone with a pulse and Zhang just played around with him. He forgot that he actually had to win rounds by punching, it was all so easy.

By the same token there are those that say that Hrgovic just got his tactical approach totally wrong against Dubois and that AJ was finished mentally etc etc.

I think both fighters are in decent form and Parker has the ability to present Dubois some stylistic challenges he hasn't seen for a while.

I find it harder than other people to forget that Dubois has twice quit in fights, the Usyk one being the most offensive as Usyk wasn't putting major damage on him or anything he was just catching him clean with jabs.

The fight has some intrigue and it'd be foolish to write parker off completely.

                I agree.

I expect Dubois to stop him.

I lean towards a Dubois win BUT Parker can definitely hurt Dubois. Also, Parker is not nearly as stationary as AJ, Hrgovic and the fat lump, Miller. In fact Hrgovic and AJ like to work at a fairly slow, measured pace. Parker's not exactly a high output guy either but he's much trickier than the straight-ahead Hrgovic. I think Dubois' youth and energy early in the fight is a good asset to have but if Parker can manage his own energy and maintain his composure through the first 1/2 or 2/3 of the fight, there can be trouble for Dubois....AND there's no certainty that Parker can't hurt Dubois at any time in the fight also. I do wonder if Parker can handle a grueling fight at this stage though. He went through hell with Joe Joyce and got stopped. Dubois quit with a bad injury versus Joe Joyce.

One thing I believe will happen is that Dubois will come guns blazing right out of the gate, because that's been his method of victory in recent fights. Parker has the ability to stifle that aggression though as long as he's not overwhelmed. If Parker keeps himself together and Dubois doesn't gain a strong enough upper hand early to mid fight, Parker can still turn the tide in his favour. I have some doubts about both guy's ability to withstand a long battle in the trenches but Dubois should have the advantage of youth in his favour, in that regard.

DDD will be tagging Parker’s Easter Island sized head with his jab and busting him up
