I'm just not buying Dubois vs Parker as a 50/50

DDD is pretty hittable, can be out-boxed and has looked shaky when the going gets tough. Parker is pretty tough, crafty and experienced. He's capable of winning rounds. I wouldn't be super confident picking Dubios.

Parker has definitely improved. He looked like a Shobox fighter against old man Leapai and Junior Fa, and that headbutt fight with Whyte was sad even before the butt in question. His activity, timing, and stamina are definitely greatly improved since then. I legitimately wrote him off as washed up and he proved me wrong. I think he gives Dubois hell.

If nothing else, it's intriguing because both guys were seemingly done and got written off, and each got major underdog victories. I've doubted Parker one too many times to want to do it again, although I'm not sure how he gets it done. I'm sure Andy Lee has a plan though. I think, as the lighter puncher, he's going to need to rely on wearing out the bigger man and taking over at the end. But DDD is the younger man, so there's a lot that's going to have to happen mentally.

I think DDD, despite his newfound confidence, may still be mentally weak, and Parker is tricky, and that could be exhausting for Dubois. Dubois should plan to punch with Parker and commit to as many of those low blows for which he's most known as he can get away with, to slow down the resurgent Kiwi. If he keeps ahead on a volume standpoint, he'll make it much harder for Parker to win on points.

Somewhere underneath all the Dubois bluster is that kid who quits when the going gets tough and needs to practically hate a guy to beat him.

Miller, Hrgy and AJ thought they could bully and mentally intimidate him which added nothing but motivation. Usyk and Joyce never gave him the chance to get angry and fuel the fire.

Parker is gonna kill him with kindness in the pressers and bring out the doubting inner child that barely lurks below the surface.

I'd also rate Parker's wins over Wilder and Zhang as better than Doobie's over Hrgovic and Joshua.
