It was 100% what was expected from that fight. Benavidez went as far as to claim a hand injury - which later was reveled non existent - as the reason for not putting Gvoz*** away.

I do respect Morrell for taking this fight. Win or lose, the guy has earned the respect of prolly everyone. He’s just not beating Benavidez but if he does. I won’t hate it. I just won’t call Benavidez a bum.

Stamina? When have you seen Morrell Jr gassed? And he's been fight twelve rounds since his third fight, and was the harder puncher at 168, harder than benavidez. With that statement I see why you think he doesn't pose any threat, maybe benavidez thinks the same.

Morrell sucked in his light heavyweight debut. There was an absence of timing, speed and power on his punches. Benavidez workrate and punch volume should carry the day.

I have him winning this fight on points. I cannot see either fighter getting knocked out in this one. Which is the reason why I believe the Mexican Monster would win.

Oh but I have, you can follow the rumor and read the posts on the right thread. And no, I don't have any answers, but when I post on any site I try to be honest and stick to facts, because we all like a particular boxer but I'm a fan of boxing first. First I want an even playing field for every fighter, regardless of their color and nationality, I believe the most known fighter should get more money in his pocket, still the fight should start even for both. You got the timeline wrong. Morrell Jr wanted the fight, he changed trainers and after one fight with Shields, his trainer said he needed more time with his pupil, two fights later he said yes and the fight was offered to benavidez but he choose 35yo andrade, after agreeing to fight DMJ. All is good because they're fighting now.
