Comments Thread For: Jack Catterall-Arnold Barboza done, could be for all the marbles at junior welterweight

Whether it arises to a full-fledged title bout by fight night is in the hands of Teofimo Lopez?s handlers, but Jack Catterall and Arnold Barboza Jnr will at least get as close as possible to the WBO 140-pound title February 15 when they clash in Manchester, England.

Four point spread. 2 for hometown, 1 for island and 1 extra for win ugly ability. Barbossa has to sparkle.

so true. Barboza will need one or two knock downs to win this one in enemy territory. By the way, the title is completely misleading. And what does mandatory mean these days anyway? People ignore it all the time and do what makes business sense.

Hey Branko B, I remember you from the Tszyu Crew forum many years ago! How’s it going?

Yeah, Barboza will need to win 8 rounds just to get a draw.

I guess they are fighting for their marbles they had in their childhood. Winner takes all.

Hi, nice to hear from you. Just to jog my memory (that was some 20 years ago), what was your name on that forum?

I just noticed you joined in 2008 here but did not post for a long time. I joined here in 2006 but did not post anything until this year. A very strange coincidence.

I was also girv on that forum, but didn’t really post much. Think I might have been one of the only Scot’s posters other than brave haggis!

yeah, joined a while ago but don’t post much but enjoy reading the posts on here. Some very knowledgeable posters here.

I hate to say it but with these two counter-punchers, I'm betting this is a complete snooze-fest and a close and controversial fight.

Eddy never saw a marble he didn't like. He collects them like clear coat for used cars.
