Anyone who think they are getting that must be ******. Saudi are not that dumb. Even if Usyk was offered 20m he will have took that. There is no way he is getting 100m+. 100m+ figure is literally a made up figure no real source has even claimed anything close to that just social media hype

It's like the idiots who believed the Garcia Haney numbers that Haney got 30m and Garcia 50m something like that because they sold 900k+. I called it bull**** then. Oscar confirmed sold just over 300, and he talks **** but he is not going to publicly lie about sold figures when he is the one that has to pay Haney, 300-400 was always more realistic

All that’s left now are no name boxers looking to make a name but they’re not here to stay they’re not going to mark their names in boxing annals as one of the best, the pedigree isn’t there. Zhang, Parker, Kabayel, Bakole… these guys are either too old, have lost several times, or unproven.. what’s the benefit of fighting one of them risking a loss as you’re aging and slowing down only to give them a star on their resume while tarnishing you’re own.

RETIRE USYK… you have achieved more than 99.9% of boxers can ever hope to achieve and now you have enough money for 5 lifetimes.
Well he can work on his resume my fighting Wilder or Ruiz

A fight with Hrgovic would be more respect.

It does feel like the perfect moment for him to call it a day, most fighters struggle to recognise it though.

Totaly agree. He beat all the big names and became undisputed in 2 different weight classes.

He has nothing left to prove.

            Walk out on top

              He has a couple options:
              • Fight Dubois again and erase that Not-A-Low-Blow conspiracy for good
              • Go back down to CW and challenge Opetaia or Zurdo to confirm his CW legacy
              • Fight Beterbiev @ CW, his only challenge for P4P as we speak
              • Retire and Live the life...

He would be crazy to go back down to cruiser pushing 40 years old. Should definitely fight the winner of Dubois-Parker. Parker would be an interesting match-up
                Hous Hous likes this.

The only risk is wilder. Will usyk take that risk?

Dubois 2 would make a lot of money, if money is a motivating factor at this point. The controversy surrounding the low blow in their first meeting and Dubois destroying Joshua last time out will go a long way toward making folks overlook Dubois quitting after being knocked down by a jab.

Edit: if Dubois can best Parker, which may not happen.

Usyk seems like he feels he has more to accomplish. Or maybe he wants to make more money. He's entitled to his choice. If he loses in his next fight, I don't have too many issues with it. He's 39, and will have fought the best of his generation at all kinds of disadvantages. Everyone gets older, and nobody stays winning as they approach 40.

As far as actual opponents, I agree with you. Not a lot of ***y names left. Rematch with Dubois? Meh. Kabayel is overrated IMO. Easy, pointless fight. Zhang is OLD. Like..great to see the midget Usyk against a giant like Zhang, but Zhang will be ~42 by then. Parker? Again, meh. Not an exciting fight, and not one that does anything for Usyk.

My choice would be to entice Opetaia to come up. Opetaia has looked excellent against good competition. He's very similar build to Usyk (6'2 vs 6'3, 78 vs 76 in reach), and is 10 years younger. They can sell it as "past vs future" fight or something.
I was thinking the Usyk v Opetaia thing at one point. But tho Usyk was a CW too, it's going to look like dragging somebody up from a lower weight, like others have done, instead of fighting guys at his weight.

The only thing that fighting Parker, Zhang, Bakole would do for Usyk (if he wins) is cement his name. It obv won't rank him any higher. When he's gone, we're all going to wonder what Usyk vs whomever would've looked like. So maybe he can fit a couple of those guys in before going.

I'm going to say those three in that order.
