If he is, then yeah, he SHOULD dismantle Benavidez, no problem. But all we know of Morrell are shades of his past. We've never seen him pressured, by opponents, lights, or the big stage. I think how he handles the atmosphere will go a long way in how well he does.
    - - Bena majorly wants Canelo as does Turki and Sulieman for full WBC LH belt...Huge $$$ if Bena beats up Morrell as most expect...

I'm not talking about the Boxing Scene vacuum. Go anywhere else on the internet, and Morrell is a "phenom" being avoided by everyone.

Anything can happen in boxing. One fatal mistake and you're done. Like what happened to Munguia. I expect a 12 round distance.

You must spend a lot of time looking at the promotional hype machines. Everyone with an upcoming fight is a phenom, and being ducked, especially if they're undefeated. In Morrell's case, that was absolutely true at 168. There were a ton of fighters turning down contracts to fight him. But that doesn't mean he's the next coming. Just means he's skilled and powerful enough to leave undefeated contenders in a coma, and not many people want to risk that for not much money.

Govzdyk had just turned 37 and I have never heard of a fighter with 20 pro fights being shop worn. Keep trolling though.

I have no idea what a promotional hype machine is.

In either case, I believe Morrell could be "it," but I also realize that I am often mistaken.

I would have to watch Morrel fight, i havent watched any of his fights and havent gotten around to it.

Benavidez didnt look so great with Plant and Gvozdyk. Yeah he got the win but he should have demolished those guys if he was what they said he was.
