Hitchins won the fight by keeping distance, jabbing, and throwing his right. Was a extremely generic game plan that was effective. All the feints, pressure, speed, and attempts to close the distance was not enough for Paro. Paro seemed to be reaching. Was doing the same thing the whole fight. Never had any quick lateral movement to get to the side of Hitchins. Was an easy decision.
Lol Paro seems destined to become another Kambosos who dethroned an undefeated monster to become world champion only to be totally outclassed in his first title defence. Therefore, maybe it is fitting that they fight each other next even if a world title ISN'T on the line!
PS: 117-111 was an absolutely disgusting scorecard!
I was going to say that at least now we don’t have to be force fed Paro vs Kambosos in Australia.
But maybe this loss actually makes it more likely that we see that next?
Styles make fights and with so many styles at 140, I can see a round robin of title changes over the next couple years with a lot of talent, but not seeing a superstar emerging yet...that is a fighter that stands out as potential king of the division to rule for some time. Too deep of a division to know at this time.
