Nah man. This doesn't translate the same as PPV. Most people already have Netflix. You could also join for only 7 bucks (with ads) and gets all the content besides the fight. I'm willing to bet, if this was your typical 80+ dollar PPV, it wouldn't even crack a million buys.

This was an easy watch for millions. It was on a Friday, nearly free considering how many people have Netflix, or they subscribed for 7 bucks and will cancel immediately after.

        Precisely.

If they had put this on PPV, it would’ve done lukewarm at best.

Where was the financial gain going to come? From boxing fans? Or Jake Paul fans (tweeners and teenagers who don’t have money to just casually drop $70-$80 on an event but rather just pirate it).

Paul smartly went to Netflix and fleeced them. $40 million and $20 million for Tyson…without taking into consideration all the other fighters on the undercard and Katie and Amanda who both got probably $2 million a piece.

This was a huge opportunity for Netflix to advertise their platform and new series.

Good Lord…everyone was there. Shaq, Jerry, Holyfield, Lennox, Rosie Perez, Mauro, Jones Jr., Andre Ward, Claressa Shields…who else did I miss?

I still think Paul’s first loss is going to be via body shot.
