Do you know the absolute mental damage you do to your opponent when they hit you with your best punch and you just shrug it off. It’s a subtle “Oh, ****.” thought that crosses their mind and then they’re forced to rely on outboxing. And if you don’t have that after realizing knocking them out is out of the question, people quickly find out whether or not you have something else in your bag of tricks.
Paul is okayish for the circuit he’s on if he keeps fighting his opposition.
If he were to fight a plodding swarmed that has a pre-disposition towards going to the body, I guarantee he gets stopped. Everybody’s trying to headhunt and look spectacular when they should be focusing on his underdeveloped stamina and gut-checking him.
Now that I think about it…if Tyson wanted to stop him that’s his best bet. The body…but with those 14 ounce gloves he might have throw something the equivalent of Ivan Drago hitting the machine in the montage to dent Paul’s stomach.
