Good thing his recent opponent, Walters, fell through because Walters boxed great and was quite fast and strong in his last fight and would have soundly beaten Diaz.

Only one fighter I have ever seen, maybe even in history, who has come back from self-abuse to rise to the highest level and that is Fury. And when Fury had been doing drugs I declared on this site that Fury will never rise to the top because that has never happened before in history with such self destruction. This is coming from someone who has despised Fury for all his behavior and antics and disrespect of others. But that comeback then may never be surpassed. Diaz just had his first loss by KO and is just too delusional to realize he has been cooked for some time. To make matters worse, he is fighting a guy who has won 2 of his last 6 fights to make Diaz look like he has a sliver of something left.

I’m glad he isn’t fighting Walters. I thought putting a guy who had been drinking as heavily as Diaz said he had, & had been in therapy, in with a former world champion known as The Axeman was complete lunacy. I expect Montoya to win but hope Diaz won’t get hurt.

We wish him the best in his recovery, but let's be honest, Jojo's best wins were against a faded Tevin Farmer, and a disoriented Fortuna. He's lost 5 of his last 6. I know it can be hard to quit something you love, but family and friends need to convince him to find another line of work.

They brought Montoya in to make Diaz look good and Diaz lost. Diaz needs to give it up now and take his personal success to find some gainful employment.
