Comments Thread For: 'There's no doubt Tim Tszyu will win another world title'

Bob Santos doesn't believe Tim Tszyu should be judged by his stoppage defeat by Bakhram Murtazaliev. The trainer is optimistic that Tszyu will come back stronger and reign as champion again

Tim is basic with no defense. ABCs are so worthless today that sure he could probably win one again but I think the idea of him ever ruling 154 is out the question.

What if Tim had to fight Madrimov, how would that go? i think Madrimov wipes the floor with him

Tim had a good run and exceeded expectations, he kept building up wins in a weak division, well now we know he was as basic as we thought initially.

I don't think his rise was the product of a weak division, I just think he took too many punches on the way up and is now damaged goods.

The wins over Gausha, Harrison, and Mendoza were good wins against good fighters. He just caught too many punches with his face and then Fundora and Murtazaliev unloaded even more on him.

Kostya and Marco Antonio had solid Boxing foundations . Tim is so green compared to them . I’m sorry,it’s too late .

Tim needs some tune ups to rebuild himself and his confidence.

Tim cannot be compared to his father Kostya. Completely different level of skill, strength and toughness. Kostya had a huge amateur background and was a superb boxer. He only became a KO artist in the professionals to make more money and be more popular. He was never actually outboxed by anyone (but he was outslugged by two people - Phillips and Hatton).

Tim is not close to that level. It will be tough for him going forward because now everybody has a game plan now on how to beat him and there are plenty of people at 154 who can execute that game plan. Also, I don't know which of the champions would fight him because he has nothing to offer at this point. He has to beat a few contenders, wait in line and then maybe ... maybe somebody offers him a title shot again in a couple of years as a voluntary defence.

I don't know if I'm the only one but for some reason boxing and an Australian accent rubs me the wrong way....like they don't belong together.
Like all they think a good boxer has to do is 'work hard' 'be tough' and 'believe in yourself' Not like improving your skills are anything to work on...
Corner advise also just seems to be non existent. No tactical adjustment or anything.

I don't know, maybe it's just Jeff Horn's Glenn Rushton that has made me feel that way, with his "I've studied Mayweather, we can beat Mayweather" and " my 12-point plan to defeat Terence Crawford"

Questions were also asked of his promoters No Limit Boxing ...
Maybe bcs Mr. Rose is just another in the line of Haymon's lap-dogs.
Sweet Lupe Valencia did a similar šhit to Ryan.

Tim never technically won his first world championship, it was an email title. Then when Charlo vacated, they tried to quickly put all the belts on him. Tim is another hype job who was forced upon fans due to his dad, the fact the boi got 3 title shots in 15 months, one coming off a loss in insane.
