    It doesn't sound like something that suspect. If the gloves a fighter wears are too thin, it's going to hurt punching someone.

    You have to have a certain amount of padding. The Margarito comparison or Resto one doesn't seem fair, unless they really uncover more.

      The Margarito comparison isn’t correct. His was due to plaster of paris in his hand wraps which solidifies with sweat effectively encasing your hand in a plaster knuckle duster. Means you can hit harder as hands suffer less damage through gloves.

      The discussion relates to the thickness of gloves. Nothing to do with illegal wraps.

          Also there’s zero give, it’s solid - like you’re hitting someone with a brick. Imagine sparring and just eating a stiff jab over and over, now replace that with a brick each time. Imagine a fully connecting back hand.

          It’s evil to conspire to do that to another person, especially within the realms of sportsmanship.
