That's exactly what happened in this particular fight, and although Mikhail gave it his all in the ring, but he also got the beating of his life handed to him.
In a build up for a fight, fighters have to bare in mind that what they say can, and will be held against you in the ring by their opponent's.
Do what you can to promote the fight, but don't get ******, because you might come out looking ******ed!

I was going to give your comment a Like but didn't want you to think I liked the fact that Janibek's farking around cost you a pile of cash.
      That sucks.
I thought Janibek's not going hard for the finish in Round 2 was, frankly, disgraceful.
I was hoping for a FAFO moment where he would get clipped and dropped as a reward, but no such luck.

Ha, sensible thinking re: the like. But no worry brother, I tend to laugh on facts like this after all, in spite of the initial disappointment.

To be honest, I think that Janibek had done enough for the fight to be stopped in round two. Mikhailovic was out on his feet. For me it's the referee who should have waved the fight off then and there. He didn't, probably because he wanted to give chances to the home fighter, and in doing that he warranted Mikhailovic a much worse punishment.

That's a good point about the ref. Mikhailovich really was out on his feet. Usually in those situations the winning fighters (to their credit, I suppose) look at or motion to the ref to stop the fight but I didn't see Janibek doing that.

I watched it last night, and it feels like Janibek allowed himself to get drawn into Mikhail's fight. Janibek threw almost no body punches, which prolonged Mikhail's punishment.

Janibek is on the level of Gab Rosado but maybe... someday...... he could possibly be like GGG. Someday when Janibek fights everyone in the division, and the super Champion avoids him like Felix Sturm and Canelo, Janibek might be in the conversation. I'm saying that because Lara is 40 and if Janibek is ever going to make his move, now would be a good time.
