Comments Thread For: Junto Nakatani agrees to fight both Naoya and Takuma Inoue

    So
    October in Tokyo:
Takuma Inoue vs Seiya Tsutsumi, WBA 118 defense
Junto Nakatani vs Petch Sor Chitpattana, WBC 118 defense

    December in Tokyo:
Naoya Inoue vs Sam Goodman, 122 undisputed

    April/May in Vegas:
Naoya Inoue vs Murodjon Akhmadaliev, 122 undisputed
Junto Nakatani vs Takuma Inoue (assuming both win in October), 118 WBA/WBC unification

    next fall in Tokyo:
Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani, 122 undisputed (assuming they both go 2-0 in the meantime)

And Inoue moves up to 126 if he wins for Angelo Leo or Nick Ball if they still have belts.

Lot of moving parts here that could go wrong for any one of these guys, but this seems to be the plan.

76-1 and he’s STILL a contender? Red flag much?

Takuma Inoue is the only quality opponent he's ever faced and Takuma beat him 9 rounds to 3 on all three scorecards. This was back when Inoue was only 12 fights into his career, and he'd lose decisively to Oubaali in his next fight.

Takuma isn't contender or a former champ at 118. He is infact the current WBA champ at 118.

If it happens for real I don't care if it is Arum or Eddie or Turki or whatever, but assuming it is indeed true I actually have a feeling the potential April Vegas card has Turki funding involved.

October 13/14th: Teiken-promoted 2day 7 title card (already official), has Nakatani and Takuma (borrowed from Ohashi), plus the likes of Tanaka, Teraji, Akui, Olascuaga and so on.
December 24th: Not officially confirmed but at an interview of Ohashi a few days ago semi-officially confirmed Inoue and Takei "plus a huge surprise" was gonna happen, in hindsight could possibly be refering to Canelo appearing? However regardless of Canelo at the minimum Inoue and Takei can probably be considered confirmed via Ohashi promoted card.

Assuming all of the above wins, April/May Saudi funded multi-promotion Vegas card?
122 Inoue (Arum) vs MJ (Eddie) undisputed main event
118 Nakatani (Arum) vs Takuma (Ohashi) unification
112 some kind of unification involving some kind of combination of Teraji/Olascuaga/Akui assuming they win on October
Heck, if Eddie is involved with Saudi money then a Bam Rodriguez unification with Tanaka or the winner of Ioka-Martinez II might not be pipedream either.
Or if not, then maybe throw in one last spotlight to Chocolatito to fight Takei 118 or Tanaka 115 for the belt?

Top Rank doesn't promote Takuma (only Naoya and Nakatani) but Ohashi is good relation with Top Rank and no way he denies this chance, plus by giving up the Nakatani-Takuma unification to Vegas he can get the dibs on Inoue-Nakatani at Tokyo Dome again.
Plus I can see Eddie (MJ) happily shutting up about MJ in December if that is in the plans with Saudi money.

And I totally forgot about Nishida but given that he really wants a money fight (he's from a small gym and never got good money fights in the spotlight), I wonder if he maybe would be up to doing a homecoming easy defense in Japan around November or December then fighting someone more known in the US like SSR (he's ranked on 118 IBF) for a blast from the past money maker?

Nakatani vs Inoue is probably the best fight that can be made in Japan right now.
I definitely want to see those to go at it in 2025, I see Inoue defeating the also unbeaten Nakatani.
Inoue is in his prime, and appears to be unstoppable for the next year or two at the very least.

Nakatani vs Inoue is the best fight to be made under 135 lbs IMO. I hope they both win their next couple fights to make it happen!
