Comments Thread For: Careful What You Wish For: Oleksandr Usyk and ill-advised rematches

There are some things in life a person will try once only to vow never to try again: childbirth, marriage, a marathon, a mind-altering drug, shoplifting, skydiving, a fist fight, a suicide attempt, love.

well if usyk beats fury again & AJ is off the table now completely then dubois could be a good rematch option for usyk but more based on his recent form than any low blow controversy

DDD is not technical. Usyk will dismantle him again in a rematch

Dubois didn't earn his first shot at Usyk nor the strap Usyk insta'd him.

The only thing he's proven in demolishing Joshua is that he's the least sloppy of Usyk's seconds.

How about giving Parker and Lee a first shot at trying to solve the Usyk puzzle. He's earnt it and has all the tools in his bag to get the job done ?

Though i reckon Usyk will retire when he beats Fury again as a war will see both lose to Father Time.

They'll prove nothing in trying to best a Parker with a lot of lead left in his pencil.

Dubois on the other hand v Parker proves heaps for each other.

Joyce is ****ing finished bro. Did you see the interview with him over the weekend? His eyes basically glazed over and he went silent mid answer for like 15 seconds

This is the best option for fans. Usyk has hinted that there's nothing left for him to prove, and there really isn't. So he's either going to retire or, maybe, go down to Cruiser or Bridger.

Parker, if sensibly advised, should be waiting for that moment as he's going to be first in line to fight for vacant WBO belt - the one he used to hold previously. If/when he wins it, the Parker-Dubois match becomes a unification and much, much more lucrative.

so did AJ make a critical mistake by 'picking' on dooby? i mean some other guys wouldnt have the ability to make him dizzy sick like that, maybe him and steady eddie made a bad error in opponent selection, they both bought into this New AJ stuff a bit too much, it was more about protect the old same ole AJ while cultivating the myth of the new one or maybe the turki cash was just too good to resist and eddie lost this thought

If Usyk beats Fury again he should retire. He's 37 and he has done a lot from cruiserweight to hvy. One of the best, something like Crawford only bigger.

Let's all just pretend that Joseph Parker didn't wipe Wilder and box smartly against Emporer Zhang. It's amazing how Parker has yet to receive his well-deserved title shot or even been mentioned for one.

If I was Dubois, I would look at fights like Bakole, Parker and Kabayel and forget about Usyk. He's not capable of solving Usyk and he won't be able to reach Fury's chin.
