I would still watch Fury - Joshua, even if Fury loses to Usyk again.

That could be a retirement fight for both.

I would watch it for sure. AJ can still pack them in so any contender looking for a career high paycheck should be shooting for AJ now.

I said it long before this fight was signed that Joshua still looked vulnerable against Helenius. He got touched up & it took him 7 rounds to dispose of a fighter who came in on a weeks notice. Helenius had just beat some Walmart employee at home when the call came for this fight so he wasn't totally devoid of a training camp. The MMA guy was a waste of time & it gave Joshua a false sense of security & the same thing after the Wallin fight. Wallin is a decent fighter but not on AJ's level. He went on the narrative that I beat 2 of Fury's leftovers more impressively so I am ready for another run. So he now has lost 4 times & none of them to Wilder or Fury. I think he is on the serious decline. He just doesn't have the chin or heart to get back on top. He has no reason to fight on undercards so he might as well hang the gloves up. He doesn't need money so what is the motivation at 35 to fight in anything other than main events?

I thought the Wallin fight would go differently, but I predicted Wallin would box and move like he did with Gassiev the fight prior. The dumb **** thought he'd stand and trade.

I think Dubois most likely wins rematch but you cant say for sure. Once Joshua gets hurt its pretty much over for him Did you watch the first knockdown? Was novice stuff. He could avoid that for a start.

I think AJ should take rematch. He will get pulled out next time if he is getting knocked about - for some reason that ref wanted him to die in there. What other fighters get to continue when they are on wobbly legs??

Also what was AJ doing before the first knockdown? I want to know. He was kind of making a gesture with his hand low-down and not even really looking at Daniel. I haven't had time to watch back

British fighters in England. UK Stoppages only benefit the A Side. You know damn well that if AJ had dropped Dubois in the corner the ref would have waived the thing off.

If I was Eddie Hearn. I would rather take the Fury fight over a Dubois rematch. Whether Tyson Fury loses to Oleksandr Usyk or not. That fight would be huge for the British boxing public.

If Fury wins no fking chance does AJ deserve that fight. Imagine getting bludgeoned for 5 rounds and the fight stopping with you laying on your face, and you getting a fking title shot out of that.

Yes in this case I agree, some money or influence was passed. But normally British refs will stop both fighters for almost nothing. Benn/Maclellan was a different era. There were a lot of brutal fights back then

Did you see Cleverly/Kovalev though? I went and rewatched that after my comment just to see if it was as bad as I'd remembered.

Yes I did see. I was telling someone about the ref helping him back to the corner a couple of weeks back. But I would say that particular incident def wasn't corruption. (also no ref would actually do that if they were being paid off) It's just a British thing. I can't remember the rest of the fight tho. I'll have to rewatch

The most annoying thing about British refs is when they stop fighters standing up while the count is still going on. Compare George Groves getting up against Froch - but being jumped on by the ref, to Fury getting a generous count in the US against Wilder (1st fight)

Yeah the waiving off is rough too. I remember a while back someone posted something like "Top ten worst Calzhage stoppages" and I'm not ****ting on Joe, Ive always thought he was legit....but holy **** some of those stoppages were some of the worst I'd ever seen.

That said, i thought it was wild that guy gave Joshua the full ****ing 10 count when he was on his face for 7 of the seconds.


EDIT - Terry O'Connor (ref that carried Cleverly back to his stool) was the same ref/judge who was caught using his cellphone while judging last year too, wasn't he? There's three british refs who are ****ing awful, and I kow Terry is one of them. Another has 3 names...like first, middle, last.
