AJ don't you listen to NOBODY. So what you ate leather ham hocks and canvas casserole? Just pick the canvas outta your teerh and go put a piece of sirloin steak over your damned face and your eyes, and rest yourself for at least 2 months. Stay in your bedroom and just play video games and watch cartoons with the door closed. And don't beat yourself up for flailing your arms instead of blocking, parrying, moving your head and fighting with your chin in the air-- Dubois did plenty of that for you. Don't be sad about not jabbing and just throwing lead right hands and uppercuts from a distance. You'll be back in two years, stronger and more muscular than ever. Viva Nigeria!!!

AJ is the better boxer he just lost the war, Dubois is wide elbows to wide and very green technique but has pop and physically strong. That’s it! These guys couldn’t beat a young small James Toney no way. They just don’t have lots of skill very weak division and Dubois will lose again to the Ukrainian because of talent levels.

AJ tends to be reckless when he attacks.

He doesnt seem like the type of guy to stick around for diminishing returns imo but who knows. Personally I think 2025 is his last year fighting.
Say what you will about AJ (or Fury, Wilder, Usyk, or the HW era in general) but the commercial viability of the division is going to ****ing nosedive in the next few years. All of the big names are old and will either retire or age out into irrelevance soon, and there arent any names on the horizon that could feasibly replace that star power to a comparable level to what they brought. We will probably be looking at late 00s levels of commercial interest, except there wont be anyone as well known as Wlad around.
Not saying this was a particularly great era in terms of talent, but you have to appreciate that mid 2010s - now HW boxing was more alive in the public consciousness than it had been since the 90s. I'll miss that.FinlandsFinest likes this.

Instead they chose to milk casuals fighting shot old men & cans, holding belts hostage with contracts that don't belong in sport.

He doesn't love the sport and the money has clearly changed him, it's going to end badly for him if he continues.

AJ has a few more fights in him.
His HOF hopes depend on it.
Name one prime elite heavyweight he's beaten.... Oh that's right he avoided them all until a calculated risk against a cruiserweight.
Where's his wins over the Frazier Foremans of this era?
They're all cans & shot past it 38-41 year olds.thack likes this.
