He was just merely showing up for pay checks. It no longer mattered if he won or lost.

I fear the same would happen to Ryan once he returns.
Ok so we are on the same page so to say
Yeah imo to much money for the fughin sharks to let him swim away lol

True true true! Golden Gate Park is special... but Central Park is my favorite. Did you know that both parks were designed by one common architect? They are the exact same shape, but Goilden Gate is a little bigger!

San Francisco used to be really empowering... But it really got messed up by incoming idiots... Always been that way, a cycle, they come, they get chased out... they come back. New York always seems to feel the same to me... I take one bite of pizza, grab a sabret hot dog, go to Zabars for smokd salmon and herring in cream sauce... It brings me right back home... Grounds me.

Home is where the heart is
I expected much more from San Fran , being the spot where flower power and some great psychedelic bands got their big break
Instead was quite dead in that matter
Went down to Santa Cruz for a wedding and that blew me away maybe the smell of money or maybe just the wharf
        Totally different from NYC lol

Your a smart guy lol, you truly understand the area. Most people do not, especially these days. San Francisco, more accurately the so called Bay Area (Berkely, Oakland...) is where most modern history in this country post Vietnam took place. Interesting enough, a lot of the nefarious side of the rock movement took place in "Laurel Canyon" in Los Angeles. But that is a true rabbit hole and should scare the shiat out of anyone with understanding... If you ever want to look into it, just google conspiracy theories and Laurel Canyon.

But the Black panthers, the anti war movement, people living in communes, no governments needed, and the great creativity and love of groups like The Grateful Dead, Hendricks, even Bruce Lee!! all part of that culture. The government destroyed it with snitches and low lifes like Manson... They flooded the great psychedelic Bakti movement with very potent Mexican Mud (Heroine) and put people away for long stretches...

We lived on Page and Ashbury for years... One block away from the epicenter of haight and Ashbury (Hashbury lol)... In the nineties one could still trip (we did shrooms) in Golden Gate Park and back to the Haight and everyone supported the process... it was kind, bars along the stretch would welcome one, people just knew and had tripped in their younger days... Now? forget it. Totally alien environment with mostly selfish people who want trouble... it is very sad.

That was a great read lol
Yeah lots of chit has changed and unfortunately not for the better of sorts
I will look into the Canyon conspiracies ( although I am as far as can be from a conspiracy theorist or believer ) but chit like that I find broadens the mind just gotta know your limits
Just like doing acid or shrooms lmao
God knows I loved my shrooms
Acid was ok but my problem was I’d let the trip take full effect on me which could of been very dangerous in all regards
I recall a trip where I was gong to the light and snapped out of it with a friend slapping the chit out of me
Trip or no trip that was freaky and scary lol

Yeah I am a "shrooms" man myself... I tend to be skeptical but will look with an open mind... Laurel canyon freaks me out. It is worth a look.

Ethical? Not Ethical? regardless, the only real way to level the playing field is to let guys juice... Not saying we should, but as long as we don't it is a cat and mouse proposition regarding "catching" cheats... Miller has gotten caught.

Regarding the fight... Ruiz looked good to me early, I can believe he hurt his hand. Miller looked good as well. I didn't see a clear winner, but I do not score fights... I think both guys showed they could fight up... If they just did what the rest of the division should do and drop a few pounds!
                I agree.
Body types at heavyweight. It's a lot to ask of a trim 212-220 pounder to ply his trade every time out against one of today's many 250+ pounders. Though a more highly skilled fighter can certainly do it.

The physique thing is interesting. People expect their fighters, even at heavyweight, to look like Marvel superheroes, and they sometimes do; but most often, the overdevelopment of muscle, particularly in larger men leads to slowed reflexes, stamina limits, reduction in punch resistance, reduction in impact power, and good looking specimens laying on the floor while a doughboy celebrates above him; and this shows up in all combat sports.

IF... there is a chiseled, personable, athletic, powerful, PED clean youngster out there anywhere who's confident enough IN HIMSELF to put everything else in his life on hold for 10-20 years; who has the many qualities needed to win the fights; who can actually COMPETE with the "ugly fatties" like Fury, Bakole, Miller, Zhang and Ruiz under the most important MOQ rules.....then forget about the Marines or Trade school or college or whatever.....AND COME GET YOUR BILLION DOLLARS!!!!

Ascending the ranks here, and who qualifies to do the task is ALL market driven. No types are given special treatment. It boils down to winning fights. I don't know a single big, tough guy who isn't turned on by the prospect of a billionaire status. But I see athletes and scrappers everywhere see themselves as unworthy to even try, it seems. Those have all settled for mediocrity.

Forget about natural flair and six packs.....where are the men of courage?

The Heavyweights being slow & clumsy when compared to a Welterweight; we all understand to be a property of physics and physiology.

The VADA thing? I say, let them juice up on anything that doesn't kill em' faster than Brain damage does. A reasonably realistic proposition, I'd argue.

I do not think "Chiseled" is much better than obese... Muscle takes a lot more energy than fat to do work... What I want is men who do not gas out after the third round... Men who can fight 12 rounds without looking like their conditioning let them down. That should be possible... These men do not have day jobs... they have months to prepare... Perhaps it would be better if they went to a farm and did labor? I don't know. All I know is with all the enhancements, knowledge of physical culture etc, it should not be so hard for a guy to be able to move in the ring for 12 rounds...

Marciano was slow and clumsy... These guys? they just do not seem to think it important enough... that is simply a perception on my part lol.

Otherwise agree on the Vada situation.
