Ya I like making speculative bets. They pay off the best and if you chose em right they hit quite often. Ortiz is a winner you’ll see. Make some money off my tip it’s free advice kidgreeneye99 likes this.

My inclination is towards Hagler winning for what it is worth. I also think this fight should be compared to the Floyd Pacman fight...which would be the "Bizzaro" version.
In one fight you had two great fighters put it on the line... slug it out, take chances, and pretty much leave it in the ring with a great effort... In the other fight we had a sparring match, no fighter took any real risks, and people then took this material and decided someone "won" that fight. In either case, there was no domination, no sense that one guy was on another level.
Lol, I spent man years in Baltimore! Still have family there.
Now, Pacquiao vs Mayweather disgusted me. They charged a record $100 for that fight, yet they fought like two retirees in an exhibition.

It’s true bro it happens sometimes. Thats part of the game. The lose who have been around for awhile know this and know complaining is useless you just do the best you can try avoid being screwed and when it happens try not to let it hurt to bad and don’t get in your feelings about it. I learned the hard way through experience lol

You used the term "shoeshine?" (forgot if this is exact)... Point being, what you described is true, Leonard stealing the rounds with a last minute flurry. Well, Leonard did lots of little things like that, and judges already have to assume so many things... Hagler was more like how Richard Pryor described George Foreman: "Which one the referee? Good cause I am going to kill the other Mfcker!"
the judges bought a lot of the "slick" and that is one reason why I think Hagler did more... His work was just not as catchy.Last edited by billeau2; 08-11-2024, 02:39 PM.SUBZER0ED likes this.

When Crawford’s done he will be quickly forgotten. An accomplished fighter but a forgettable resume. Boxing heads will remember him but the average aports fan won’t.
Disrespectful to put his name with Hagler. Hagler/Hearns is an all time sports moment of that era. Crawford not like that.

I was disappointed that Hagler lost that fight and retired afterward.billeau2 likes this.
