Strange when you realize that Boots is huge for 147 and has been for years. The cutting tricks catch up after a while. They age you more quickly. He may see a decline in his legendary "in the gym he is an all timer according to those who have seen him spar" skill set before he ever gets to a big fight.

People can say he is avoided, etc. But there are mandatories he has never pursued, turned down offers from Bud....if he is avoided that much, why isn't he fighting three times a year against guys to build a name? If he is the next coming of Ray Robinson as so many say, why isn't he going in against B level guys three or four times a year and smashing them to pieces in order to build his name up? If he is THAT GOOD than he would have a legion of fans calling for big fights, he would be a big name. Instead, he never fights and he has a tiny fan base.

There is simply something off about the whole thing. Either his team is the most inept bunch of morons ever to guide a fighter, or, they and Ennis know that he has weaknesses and they are terrified to get exposed. At this point, a fluke loss, say if by some miracle Ava catches him on the temple or chin and stops him, his career is majorly derailed, and the hype totally disappears.

Just makes very little sense, what we all hear from his sparring sessions, compared to his last two fights and the amount of hyperbole.

Looks like you feel threatened by him to me. It's ironic for you to talk about hyprbole when that's exactly what you posted here.

Also, when had he ever had problems making 147? You must made that up.

Hey Boots! I didn't know you posted here.

Hyperbole is an exaggerated statement. I am pointing to what we all see, not exaggerating. Boots barely fights, he is going to be 28, Villa hit him alot, he couldn't cut the ring off against Karen. For his apparent talent he should have been a champ years ago, and his career has been ridiculous for a guy people talk about as if he is the best P4P in the gym.

As far as weight, that IS a guess, but it is a fact that men get heavier as they age and it gets harder to cut weight. Boots is 5'10 and has a big frame. Speculating that him making 147 less and less easy as he ages isn't a slam on him. Just saying that he may damage his body as he keeps cutting as he gets older.

I actually like Ennis and wish his team and him had made better decisions. If he starts fighting a few times a year and beats some real opponents, I will be thrilled. Boxing needs superstars badly right now and the guy seems to have what it takes. He just needs to DO it.

Threatened how? He is boxer. I am talking about his fighting career. I have no personal feelings about him. Lol.

Cute response. 3 division lineal, 2 division undisputed is all anyone needs to know. Bud didn't run anywhere. It was bootsy who ran from the wbo rankings. It was bootsy who wanted to be "loyal to showtime" (where they at now?). 1 is in his 4th division attempting and adding to his accolades, the other is fighting nobody of note in a barren 147lb division. Have ya boy move up if he truly wants Bud. Chase greatness, not feelings

Bud beats him just with his ring iq to say the least
