If I have to be honest i see nothing special in bam rodriguez. To me he is just a Mexican brawler. And everyone is losing their mind cause he beat Estrada.

I’m 58 years old and Bam reminds me of the type of fighter I used to watch as a kid with my dad, these fighters nowadays are all talk on social media and are afraid to back it up without ludicrous compensation

I DO see a fast, accurate, razor-sharp puncher with extraordinary footwork, high ring IQ, good stamina, and seriously-effective aggression. The ring is a truth machine, and eventually, as Bam matures and starts taking on younger versions of himself as challengers to his belts, we will gauge the extent of his greatness, but listen up - this young guy Bam is a great fighter.

If that's truly what you think about Bam , your thought process is out of alignment with reality. With that type of thinking , no fighter is going to be good enough for you. You probably have one favorite fighter with a shrine to him in your house and can't give any other fighter props without feeling like you're slighting your favorite. Which makes me wonder, was there a rematch clause in the original contract or is it just words right now? If words, forget it.

Now that he's beltless, if Estrada still wants money or a belt again he either should hope Ioka is still interested in him on a personal level and willing to travel to Japan in NYE (if Bam doesn't reserve the seat first), or if not then go call Tanaka's promoters if they are interested in a mando defense.
