Comments Thread For: Former Opponent Impressed By Gervonta Davis Improvements

One of Gervonta "Tank" Davis' past opponents cannot help admire his evolution into an "intimidating" figure on the brink of establishing himself among the very best.

Stopped reading when Walsh mentions that no one talks about Tank’s accuracy
Maybe not on his side of the pawn

Once Tank beat Lomachenko everyone will say that he was past his prime and won’t give Tank the credit he deserves as an elite boxer…Happens every time

You see improvements even though he's losing a mass of rounds against handpicked opponents? Maybe a trip to the opticians is in order.

Loma is past his best. Why do you think Davis is all of a sudden willing to face him after years of ducking the guy? Don't pretend otherwise.

Maybe ask your fighters to not wait until they're aged out if it happens every time. That's one way to solve it. But facing them earlier is not something they want to get involved with. That tells you right there and then who they think wins the fight at that point. They age them out for a reason.

Ducking happens every time...you literally had people 7 years ago saying he is going to wait 5 years to fight Loma just like Floyd did with pac. He's gone over already by a couple years. And Loma is still a good fighter but he's not Loma from 7 years ago 6 years ago 5 years ago 4 years ago etc...

              Why he isn’t passed his prime ? ? ?
Wonder why it took Tank so many years after being called out constantly

Loma is past his prime 4sure BUT if Tank can KO Loma like he did to his last 4 opponents, there should be no denying Tanks power making him a favorite at 135-140.

Of couse Tank won't admit it, I believe but 5 years ago he understood he wasn't ready for Loma. Quite frankly it would've been an embarrassing defeat. I know the public and Loma wanted that fight but Tank just physically and mentally prepared for that level of pressure. Regarding Pac vs Floyd ppl seem to forget that, for years Pac refused VADA testing. He was vehemently accused of doping and his refusal to be tested added fuel to the speculation. Look how many fighters have been busted for cheating from Margarita to Ryan Garcia. Why would Mayweather agree to fight a guy 5 years earlier that's accused of juicing and refused to undergo testing? Pac claimed his refusal to be tested was based on his religious beliefs - yeah, ok
