No, we are not. Wilder is the biggest waste of taken in modern heavyweight history. He got too comfortable waiting to land one right hand and his defences were marred with giving away rounds. Once people learned how to press him it was over. Lazy fighter who didn’t have the discipline to adjust, ever

At least he seemed OK. I didn't see Wilder having much of a chance vs a guy that outweighed him by 70+ pds!!! Like are u kidding me? That was his problem with Fury these guys are too big for Wilder an hes older now, but he hasnt been the same since the Fury wars regardless. Just another money grab because the fight itself was lame asf on top of it....

Those accomplishments were manufactured. Who did he beat?

The only thing HOF worthy about Wilder is the way his career was managed.

So regardless it's an historically significant win for Fury what happens after Fury has took pieces of him is hardly relevant.
Historic reign against who??? He beat 2 top 10 fighters. The rest were creampuffs.

His ko ratio against top 10 opponents was 25 percent. Alis was 50 and louis' 75 but please tell me how big of a puncher he was because he padded his record with bums.

Idk about that If we're being truthful, Wilder was never a real heavyweight to begin with, and he did a lot of great things being outweighed by upward of 30-50 pounds per fight. Nobody will last that long under those circumstances This ending was inevitable for him, but look how Tyson boxing career ended with the Ls he took people don't say the same for him Wilder almost 40

Wilder has never invested in his craft like AJ has done who always started boxing late. He's happy to slaughter cans for years instead of hiring top trainers and working hard on his craft. So, once he stepped up he got found out. On top of that or rather because of that he declined to accept a whooping $100 offer to face AJ for the undisputed crown. He would have been a ****** rich man now. He should retire with his faculties still pretty much intact and enoy life with his family. I guess he's a millionaire now, if he has invested his money wisely.

I didn't say the opponents were any good did I!?

But the stats are what they are regardless of your opinion, he's a top 10th percentile in every department i've mentioned throughout heavyweight history.

Despite guys fighting just as weak opposition in their reigns...

Sadly for us, stats just like facts don't care how either of us feel, they just are what they are.

FYI I didn't say Wilder was HoF worthy, I just said his reign was historically significant which as i've pointed out is true.

Do you think in a 100 years when someone looks up "longest reigning" champion they'll care about the level of opposition truthfully!? most people don't even care now.

Tyson came back after losing to Douglas and won big fights and titles, wilder did not. I’m fact the second time Tyson lost, the sports world was surprised because he still had a solid reputation of being the baddest man on the planet. People actually thought he was going to critically injure holyfield. Also, Tyson always tried to win, even if it meant taking punches, he never laid back and waited to land a punch that never came, nor did he intentionally try to give away rounds. Wilder was a good heavyweight in a very weak era of the division. He would not have even been competitive in the champions for a day era in the early 80s with Weaver, Witherspoon, Smith, Dokes, or even Cooney

You cant name a heavyweight boxer that fought murderers row outside of the Ali days..most heavyweights have a resume full of "creampuffs"

AJ and Hearn also avoided Wilder in his prime so theres that too ill never forget that just excuse after excuse when it was a 50-50 fight
