Comments Thread For: Bad Blood Rematch Between Leigh Wood and Josh Warrington Draws Closer

Nothing is confirmed, but it is looking increasingly likely that Josh Warrington and his manager, Steve Wood, are about to be rewarded after months of campaigning. Wood and Warrington have been calling for a rematch with Leigh Wood ever since the Nottingham fighter came back from the brink to stop the two-time featherweight champion in the seventh round of their WBA featherweight title fight last October.

Can any Americans match the bad blood between, fill in the blanks. Is that the big thing now? Sounds like something if I got on my pinky finger, I'd have to cut off my arm.

Wood is my dude. You can't count him out as long as he's breathing. Who remembers Jorge Castro vs John David Jackson ? Wood is that kind of fighter. He doesn't really start fighting until he's beat half to death.

Just kidding. I like this fight even if it is in house. I like Leigh in this, he has an equalizer, but he eats way too much cow hide as a rule. Josh has brains somewhere inside that boulder. Still, Wood is lucky Josh doesn't have much power.

Josh uses his skull for power. Leigh Wood all the way. Warrington is one of England's dirtiest fighters. I used to like him, especially as he was on the rise in 2018 and 2019 when he won a world title against Selby and retired Frampton but since then he's gotten dirtier as his competition has increased. On top of that, he's a saucy little bugger with little respect for the game.

I think it will do good numbers. Both have a following.

Josh is just abrasive, 3 rounds in, nary a solid punch, blood everywhere kind of guy. It has its appeal.
