Fury himself said in the post-confernece that this was the best he can fight, he really tried, and that he can't really be better.
But he only made one mistake the whole fight. I had him up 5-3 going into the 9th round. He just stopped going to the body and he stopped leaning on him. Plus he was leaning on the ropes way too much. He did better work in the middle of the ring, throwing that uppercut and body shots from out of Usyk's range. I would say if anything age would effect Usyk a bit more but Fury does have miles on him.

IBF's stripping Usyk before they strip Alvarez. Remember that nonsense folks...

Fury is the warrior. He will go out on his shield and burn in the flames.

Usyk stops him next time. Fury will gas out again.

Fury was up 4-2 on my card after 6. He looked in complete control. Those body shots were landing & Usyk was slowing down. I would have leaned on him more. He landed several body shot combos & should have grabbed him & leaned on him until the ref broke it up. If he would have kept that up for a few rounds that may have been the difference. Usyk made adjustments & took over the fight. Fury tried boxing & keeping pace which he couldn’t do. It was a good fight & i still think Fury can win the rematch but I would come in at 277 like the 2nd Wilder fight. Keep the body attack up while leaning on him. Slow the fight down & make the ref separate them.

I think the fatigue showed early when he started leaning on the ropes. That's why he was doing that. Some people have better stamina than others. If Fury works on his stamina, he will most likely not work on power drills and other technical aspects of training. IF you give him a year, he can work on both. But there's always pros and cons to this. More stamina, less sharp. We can go on and on, but if he wants to beat Usyk, I do feel he needs to work on his stamina. But that's going to take some time.

that would be great to do it again, definitely enough in the fight to warrant a rematch

It's a very interesting rematch, if they do it.

One may think that if Fury boxes like he did in a few if the middle rounds then he wins. Then again, Usyk figured Fury out, and knows he can hurt him badly.

Beyond these two and Joshua, the heavyweight division doesn't look that good and isn't deep. Wilder seems done and Zhang, albeit very good, probably won't stick around much longer.

First of all he is going to take time off and then get back to the same level of training and fitness as for the first fight. And for what?

                  - He himself said he fought really well (and he did) and lost (or in his mind, robbed). I don't think the same motivation will there, if you already did your very best in the first fight and didn't get the result you wanted.

                  - The undefeated, 'no man can beat me' mantra is gone. The talk, believe and energy will be different no matter what

                  - Even if he wins, he will not even be called undisputed as Usyk is. He'll have to go chasing the IBF belt now
That could also kill his motivation.
He's fighting for a little bit for pride and legacy but the big thing for him is money - it was drilled into him by his immediate and wider family - left school at 14, I think, and out hustling for money

Joshua had Usyk in big trouble too in their 2nd fight. But Usyk adjusts and wins. That's what he does. Same with Bellew. Fury doesn't have the confidence of an unbeaten guy anymore. Guys with egos like his struggle once they get beat.

I do think Fury has a good chance to win but I think Usyk will just get better for the 2nd fight. He knows what worked and didn't work in that first fight too and he will improve

"Usyk had no answer" only makes sense if you ignore everything you saw in the fight. Both fighters bring variables, it was not purely down to Fury's decision making. Fury tiring was a factor. Fury not liking whatever was coming back when he was "bullying" Usyk was another. Usyk adjusting where he was covering up was another.

Note that even when Fury was up in the middle rounds, he rarely backed Usyk up. Usyk was almost always the one advancing, stalking Fury, which can cause mental and physical fatigue.
