Seems like people have forgotten what lineal means. It doesn't matter whether the belt ends up in the hands of Carlos Baldomir or Zsolt Erdei, the man who beats the man instantly becomes the man with the title.

There are some serious problems with the CBZ list. I wonder whether they have any explanations for it or if it's just a mistake.

Floyd should drop a couple of spots with Whitaker and De La Hoya having a claim.

I would have added De la hoya and Whitaker obviously but the ring did not do ring lineal champions when they were lineal champions.

this is the ring's. not anybody elses.
The RING has been around since 1922.
thats why I used it.

I believe ThreadStealer already explained why Brown, McGirt, Whitaker and De La Hoya weren't recognized as Ring champions. It has nothing to with the lineage of the title.
