Anyway, the list is pointless. When you think of all the great welters in recent years (Margarito, Quartey, TRINIDAD, etc.) and then see this list you just have to snicker.

But yea the list doesn't mean very much...at the end of the day...

Quality of opponents > Number of belts captured

You should rename the title from "Top Lineal Welterweight Champions", to "Top Ring ****zine Welterweight Champions".

The Ring stopped doing their belts in the late 80s/early 90s and only did their ratings on a 1 through 10 system, with no champs. It was simply whom they thought was the best fighter in each division.

They then re-did their policy around 2001-02.

I would have to create a new thread to change the title.
but be my guess and make a new thread about it with that title.

How long did Oscar and Shane have it?
It actually went from Oscar to trinidad. But, Oscar held it for 29 monts and 8 fights.

just read the that list and you will notice one huge problem.
read it and then you will realize it.

That cyberboxing list makes no sense to have Spinks and then not have Judah, Baldomir, and Mayweather.

Some of their other divisions could use some updating.

Bro you don't have Whitaker, Oscar, and Trinidad. They all have lineage claims.
