I give 2 points for home town and 1 point island enhancement. Inoue gets all three in Japan.

I started watching boxing in the days when SBW had Morales, Barrera, Zaragoza, Tapia, McKinney, Junior Jones. But there is nobody like that now in the US or Mexico in terms of popularity or ability. Nothing for Inoue to travel to.TonyRespectful likes this.

These idiots still believe the US is the mecca of the sport. The reality is that we ARE NOT. Big fights will be held in Saudi for the foreseeable future, the brits dominate the heavyweight landscape (the key to the sport) and the US is stuck behind paywalls, leaving boxing as a fringe sport behind the UFC. Thank god for the Latino boxing scene or boxing would be dead here.
inoue is making insane money for his weight class and is a star in Japan. Why the hell would he come to the US to make less money, lose his home field advantage, and in a market where he is not a superstar??
These people have hidden agendas when it comes to foreign fighters. We need to realize that this is NOT your father’s boxing era. The US is now second rate in this sport. We can either deny it or try to fix it. So far I see plenty of the former not so much of the latterLast edited by dorruel2.0; 04-15-2024, 01:52 PM.Verus TonyRespectful like this.

American fighters are begging to fight in Saudi Arabia, but Inoue is the problem for wanting to fight at home in front of his fans instead of some bingo hall in Philly with Fultons family and friends in attendanceJakeTheBoxer TonyRespectful like this.

Since when America is the place to be for the lower weight classes? Even the mexicans travel all the way to Asia to challenge their champions. Porter sounding bit ignorant on this one but then, he is American lol. Anyhow, classy and intelligent answer by the Monster. The big money for him and therefore the whole division, is in Japan baby.

but with different timing yes!! Warrington was capable of filling Elland Road when he was unbeaten and if that was now and Inoue came to fight him then certainly yes! But the timing is off about 3 years

Porter’s an idiot, Gayweather never left, Ward never left that toilet called Oakland, bet he had no issue with them.
Inoue is the champ he can do as he pleases.
