I imagine odds have changed because a lot are buying into a sort of triangle theory.

So when Fury shows and beats Usyk then beats AJ, would you still call him the most overrated and overhyped boxer in history?

Nothing is a "when" if you're talking about Fury. "If" he actually fights Usyk and AJ he has a good chance of winning for sure but it's nowhere near a forgone conclusion, especially considering how inconsistent and unpredictable Fury is.

Fury at his best vs Usyk at his best is probably a 50/50. My sense is that Fury is done but you can never really be confident backing against a big, big man.

It's a mega fight. And that's enough for me.

Mind you I still think Fury pulls out. I thought it in October and he did. And I thought it in February and he did. If I was betting on anything it would be Fury pulling out. And of course it won't be his fault.

The triangle theory at work.

Usyk beat AJ twice.

Fury struggled with Wallin and Ngannu.

AJ destroyed Wallin and Ngannu with absolute ease.

So now Usyk beats Fury.

I guess.

I still think Fury beats Usyk, but at this point Usyk has won me over and if he happens to beat Fury, i’d be okay with that. I like both fighters.

That obviously doesn't always work though. Example-Ali, Foreman and Frazier... The whole styles make fights thing. Chisora gave Usyk and great fight. Fury demolished Chisora three times...Plus, at least up until now, guys like Fury have seemed to rise to the occasion and to the level of their opponents. I think it's a fairly sure bet what version of Usyk is going to show up on the night. Fury? Especially at this point? Maybe not so much... Who knows...I'd still be surprised if he doesn't take it seriously and is out of shape, because he "will" lose and I don't think he wants that...

You've been on here for a while.

Not sure exactly what that means. I do my best not to call guys who do this for a living "bums" but as a fan I do criticize if I feel it's warranted and I also have a worthless opinion like most everyone else. Never claimed I'm always right. But I'm usually cheering for the underdog and honestly some of my favorite fighters are guys like Gabe Rosado, for what I feel are pretty obvious reasons. I was referring to how everyone was high on AJ, and after he lost everyone crapped all over him (I thought he gave Usyk a very good fight the second time) and now he knocked Ngannou out and everyone is right back riding his lap again. The odds and the fighter's fan base change like the wind sometimes.

Regarding this particular fight, I've been a huge Fury fan since he went for his first jog at 400lbs and filmed himself on his phone saying he was making a comeback. And he actually did it. Not a huge fan of how he's always carried himself lately, and I'm not sure how much of it is an act and how much of it is just Fury being Fury. I tend to be a fan of the old school guys who act like gentlemen, carry themselves with class, stand for something and let their actions do their talking. So it's REALLY hard for anyone to not cheer for Usyk every time. Going to be tough for me personally to watch either guy lose.

I like Usyk, and hope he can pull it off.

That being said, I still favor Fury (~70/30), provided he comes in lean and fit, with a game plan similar to the one he had against Klitschko. The fat, slow (but more powerful) Fury that annihilated Wilder will have far more problems with Usyk.

Let's see. If I had to bet, I would bet on Fury.

Then let me rephrase my question - So IF Fury shows up and beats Usyk then beats AJ, would you still call him the most overrated and overhyped boxer in history?
Please understand the basis of my question. We heard the same accusations about the Wilder trilogy. Fury did show up and destroyed Wilder.

The more I think about it, the more this cut is a blessing in surprise for Fury, intentional or a happy accident.

Last time fury was light (against Wallin) he had lost a lot of weight pretty rapidly and was notably drained.

This time he woke up after the Ngannou fight and realize he needed to lose 25-30lbs.

There was no way he was going to do that in 4 months then go into the ring vs Usyk in a healthy state.

Now with the advent of the cut he's already got the weight off and now has 8-10 weeks of just maintaining his shape which should see him in a much healthier state.

I still favour Usyk but we should see a much better Fury than vs Ngannou.

Usyk better be ready and beat Fury clearly, otherwise he will be robbed, because all casuals and Saudis also want Fury -Joshua.

I don`t give a damn about Fury - Joshua, I just hope they don`t rob usyk.

I’m not saying it works, i’m saying the new betting lines are the triangle theory at work.
