Thoughts on William Zepeda vs Maxi Hughes? (March 16)

William "El Camaron" Zepeda (29-0, 25 KOs) vs Daniel "Maximus" Hughes (25-6-2, 5 KOs) at 135

    The undercard has:

Floyd "Kid Austin" Schofield (16-0, 12 KOs) vs Esteuri Suero (13-1, 10 KOs) at 135

Victor Morales Jr (19-0, 9 KOs) vs Luis Nunez (19-0, 13 KOs) at 126

Maxi Hughes has a deceiving record as he showed improvements after committing to becoming a full time boxer, having a controversial loss decision to George Kambosos. But does he have enough punching power to keep Zepeda at bay or boxing ability to outbox William Zepeda? Is he a step up for Zepeda who just beat Joseph Diaz and Mercito Gesta?

Good fight for Zepeda. If not his best opp, among his top 2 or 3 opps. I'd love to see Zepeda get a belt fight soon. He feels among the most deserving guys to get a 135 belt fight. Maxi is always a guy with upset potential, but I think Zepeda is maybe the best non-belt holder at 135 & its gonna be a huge ask any non-belt guy to take his 0.

And wtf Nunez is on this card??? I had no clue. Didn't see it on boxrec, but see its listed on tapology. This is why I say why tapology is more accurate with its schedule than boxrec these days.

Glad Hughes is getting another big fight after getting shafted vs Kambosos but Zepeda will beat the living cr4p out of him.

I don't really see it as a competitive fight, it'll just be how much can Hughes avoid Zepedas type of fight and how much punishment can he take before the ref stops it.

How is fighting a 34 year old UK Journeyman a good fight for him at this stage of his career? wtf? This is a joke fight. Just beating up another can. Zepeda has been a pro for 10 years, 29 fights still has not won a belt and still fighting cans. Its pathetic. And Hughs has a 19% KO ratio. lol.

Zepeda will probably lose a few rounds in this one but i would expect him to get a late stoppage

This selective critiquing mfers sh^t some of you guys do is ridiculous.

I understand you are good at dogging boxers, but the facts say Maxi is #8/#9 ranked by TBRB & Ring. And the only fight Maxi has lost in ~5yrs is to Kambosos in a fight most thought he deserved to win. This is arguably Zepeda's best opp & undisputedly one of his best 2 or 3 opps. Why shouldn't he be fighting this caliber of guy if hes not getting a belt fight vs a tip top guy?

Reality>This weird dogging of one of the best guys Zepeda has fought.

Some of yall are fooking nuts & just live to dog mfers with this 22yr old ****** looking ****** mfer looking at a 8 outta 10 with some "elbows too pointy so I wouldn't fook her" hating ass type goofy bs all the time.

If that is one of the best guys Zepeda has fought that makes it even more embarrassing. A 34 year old UK journeyman. I'm not being selective I would say the same about any fighter taking fights like this at this point in his career. Look at the level of fighters Benavidez fought for no belts. None of these UK bums. So many fighters today playing is safe, and people like you defend it.

You bore me, but I'll give you another chance to not be the standard hating ass sports fan dogging mfers all day every day & say something not predictable.

Who should he be fighting this weekend?
