Boxing is business not a sport anymore. If Crawford gets $10 million for fighting Ennis, 90% he will grab it no question ask. But who is that person in his right mind will put that money without getting his economic return??

Give me a break with the "Boots is so dangerous". He passes the eye test. That's it. He's like 147 Tank Davis, except Tank has actually fought a couple guys who earned world titles.

He brings nothing to the table means MONEY.

Why is that so hard to understand? Who is going to pay for it? Only hardcore fans even know who he is because he's absolute crap at marketing himself and his promoter is terrible. So WHO. PAYS. FOR. THE. FIGHT.

Nobody. Think of it this way. You could try to crowdfund a fight between these two. Do you HONESTLY think you could make enough money to pay them? Even if you could, do you HONESTLY think the event would recoup the costs? Or would you get absolutely bankrupted?

Even the Saudis want no part of this fight with all their money. That should tell you something. What part of this equation has to do with skills or danger?

Boots has already ducked Crawford on numerous occasions. He's just clout chasing like Andrade after Canelo, with a similar resume of NOBODY. Why didn't he stay the course with WBO when he was #1 and Bud was defending regularly? Why didn't he call for his shot at Spence? He had 5 months of being mandatory before they announced Bud v Spence and he didn't even make a callout, let alone petition for his shot. And the IBF had only called for one defense in 4 years. Why did he wait to call for a shot vs Bud until the rematch clause was activated?

And more importantly, why isn't he fighting anyone? He's not only not fighting any top guys, be that Thurman, Stanionis, Ortiz Jr, or Crowley, Rocha, Barrios, etc. He's fighting nobody at all. Just sitting on his email title with Bud's name in his mouth.

He ought to be a big name with his skills and background, but he doesn't fight anyone, and he's just getting less active. Guy reminds me of a dog yapping away from behind a closed gate, then shutting up immediately when the gate is opened. Make your own legacy and FIGHT someone.

Crawford has never defended any of his undisputed titles at any weight. Everyone knows the hard part about being a champion is defending the crown. Would love to see crawford do that at least once in his career

Ennis isn't his mandatory any more. He's got Bud's title via email, and no claim on Bud at all. Get your facts straight at least.

Ennis has the worst management in boxing ever. He is un unbeaten black American in historically glamour division. He knocked out almost everybody so far.

But still nobody knows who he is.

So I can`t really blame Crawford for not fighting him. Crawford is at the end of the road, he wants money fights.

It's not just his management team but Boots himself. He has zero charisma and no ability or interest in talking the necessary amount of **** to force a fight with a big name fighter. He is a beast in the ring, but outside he's a meek kitten. Boxing really doesn't need another obnoxious blowhard, but Boots has to realize at this stage of his career that his patient good boy persona is doing his career no favors at all.

Big time Bud fan. Once confirmed that Spence is not up for the contracted rematcb, Bud needs to go ahead and vacate and negotiate at 154. Ennis deserves a shot at the other belts, and 147 gets interesting once that happens.

I don't think Ennis beats Bud and Ennis doesn't bring any money. That said, Bud needs to vacate or fight his mandatories. Really tired of guys belt squatting and cherry picking.

Hopefully Spence comes out with news soon. Getting old.
