This fight just had a bad referee. He already didn't give Fundora a warning for holding Cruz head while throwing six to seven uppercuts.

Come on DAZN commentators. Know your fcking boxing.
BS. Fighters trip up and get tangled up all the time with their backs turned to the opponent and there is always a warning from the Ref. It happends allllllll the time.

so any fighter that gets hurt can just turn their back now, cower in disgrace, and catch a breather? catch a time out? take a knee if anything. i disagree with your disagreement

I agree on the holding the head fouls that were missed. But the ref can’t save a cowering fighter who decides to turn their back, by stopping the other fighter mid way through their punches, in order to tell the cowering fighter that they can’t do that and allow them to recover.

Fighters should know a lot better than to do that. Just walk away cowering like that, with your back turned. That’s basically a self-stoppage.

If the reverse happened and fundora became discombobulated after a trip they wouldn't have stopped it but that's boxing. B sides have no rights

Cruz looked good those first four rounds, then age, Fundora pressure, and finally fear set in.

Fulghum has been becoming one of my favorites fighters to watch at 175, just realized he moved down to 168 few fights ago.
