Comments Thread For: Beterbiev Trainer on Callum Smith: He Absorbed a Lot of Punches [Against Canelo]; We're Going To See How He Reacts To Beterbiev
Regardless of a looming fight with Dmitry Bivol potentially at stake, Artur Beterbiev and his team are not taking their latest title defense lightly.

“But this is the first time he will have to go up against the size of Artur Beterbiev and we’re going to see how he’s going to react.
That's the key right there... Bauderlique and Rivera won't be enough as tune ups for Smith ... he will be OVERWHELMED by the size and pressure and he will eventually fold and submit... No shame there, they all do that ....
The only thing compelling with alot of these Beterbiev fights is, us as fans, wondering if this might be the night Artur gets old.
If its the same ol' Beterbiev then we can all be fairly confident that Smith gets busted up and stopped.
Smith @33 y/o has 30 fights... His last legit fight ended in a landslide beating.. Artur @38 y/o has 19 fights, none of them going the distance... My guess is Smith is more used up then Artur...
Smith is a lot bigger than Canelo and he still did not do anything in that match. If he was smart and capable he could keep him on distance and jab Canelo. He was not able to do so, he was not able to box equal with Canelo.... So, what can he do vs Beterbiev? Nothing much I guess.

You may be right. However Artur also has 300 amateur fights compared to how many for Smith? 40 or 50? The longer Artur keeps fighting, the more likely he may find himself in a situation where his age and mileage catch up to him.
He's a helluva fighter and has beaten some really good fighters and I expect him to win against Mundo on Saturday night.
