Comments Thread For: 'We're Not Idiots': Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren End Cold War For 'Day of Reckoning'

"The Day of Reckoning" show in Saudi Arabia on Saturday has united an unprecedented pack of promoters. Of the dozen that have contributed to the star-studded dance, the unlikeliest pairing of all has been the unification between lead promoter Frank Warren of Queensberry Boxing and Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn.

"As Eddie said, we cannot afford to let this get ruined, and it won’t because everybody is like-minded,” said Warren. “What counts is the . . . . " MONEY

        Credit to both.

Frank for not trying to freeze Eddie out and Eddie for putting his ego to one side and allowing his fighters to take this opportunity.

It’s clear that any big money fights that would have traditionally been in Britain or fights involving big American stars promoted by British promoters will happen in Saudi Arabia due to the economics. Folk back in the U.K. are struggling to keep power on, restaurants and pubs are closing, just awful times. Big money fights will go to Riyadh season

It's all business, never personal. That's how real men handle themselves. At the end of the day, they all broke bread together. Good to see they're smart and man enough to not let all the verbal thrashing towards each over the years get in the way of filling their pockets and the pockets of their fighters.

If this **** card of mismatches is what their new romance can provide, call off the affair! At least their YouTube bitching is entertaining. Their Saudi card wasn’t.

Kudos to Dubois for the one watchable performance of the night.

Gotta walk before you run. This was a successful night, co-promoted well. Hopefully, bigger, more important fights can happen in the coming years because this worked.
