Kelso Pinto beat Miguel Cotto in the amateurs. You wanna take a wild guess what happened when they fought in 2004 as professionals?
Cotto destroyed Pinto so your logic is super flawed and just wrong.

Yeah but was Cotto 40 years old and had Pinto had the far better pro career?

Joshua would be a heavy favourite and for good reason, Zhang is enjoying a VERY late career purple patch, likely caused by Joyce being massivley overrated and a tailor made style matchup for the aging chinaman.

BUT It's Luis Ortiz all over again, a guy who is obviously on his last legs athletically yet people ignore it and think he's going to go on a run lol, well I've got news for you people, and it's all bad.

It's really quite astonishing when you think about it, people want to give more respect to a 40 year old man who's achieved very little in his 20 plus year career than a guy much younger who's an Olympic gold medalist and 2x heavyweight champion, isn't it incredible. And I tell you another thing for free, Zhang will never achieve everything Joshua has and that's a fact.

People need to stop getting carried away with Zhang, his career length from here is likely better measured in months than years. So try and enjoy it while you can because it won't be long.

I also don't have as much faith in AJ as you do. I'd probably pick AJ to win, but I can see AJ sh^tting the bed vs a lot of guys based on how tentative & unsure of himself he's been looking like lately.
I am no believer in anyone's invincibility either but I give them a lot more chance over Zhang. As for AJ ****ting the bed vs a lot of guys (I am assuming outside the top 5) is also not a done deal. Not saying he cannot lose but I give him the better odds. And that is because I see HWs outside of the top 5-6 as just mediocre at best, mostly undisciplined, out of shape, and lacking the skillsets to be an elite fighter.
If this were the '90s, I would agree with you that he had little chance against the top-5 and would struggle against those ranked in the top-15 too.

Zhang will reveal his ancient Chinese secret to you all and prove age is just a number like the old sun tsu book said. He's up in the mountains training with karate monks and stiffening his palms for the dreaded 8 pressure point heart expoding technique. If it's landed its lights out to your boy AJ. Hip hip hooray! More like hip hip you're ****ed.

Zhang is not coming with mugoogaipan to feed you with. Hes coming with karate and pain.

Idk about this, but everyone has different measurements of skill. Some of these ppl think there should only be 7 guys in the top ten ffs.

Personally I'd probably favor AJ over most of these guys, altho some of these might be 60/40 AJ type fights, but I could EASILY see AJ sh^t the bed or get beat by Wallin (today lol), Joyce, Zhang, Ngannou (if he ever boxes again), Jalolov, Arslanbek or Jared. And I could probably think of 1 or 2 more. AJ is looking pretty mediocre himself these days & he looks extremely unsure of himself, kinda like DDD does altho I think AJ isn't down quite as bad & is more skilled, lets not bs.

AJ has had some bad moments but you're way underestimating him. Give the guy his due...he is a former champ and a big, powerful guy. Yes, he's been scared in throwing punches but that doesn't mean he is a nobody overnight to be taken out by anyone.

I didn't say he's a nobody. Obv he did the damn thing for yrs before we got to today.

I did say he's ripe to be beaten by some guys who've done far less than he has. Part of the issue MIGHT be the success he's had tho. As Hagler said its hard to go running at 5am in silk pjs or w/e that quote is. While I don't actually think AJ has trouble motivating himself to train as he's always been a guy in great shape, I do think when he gets in the ring somewhere in his head he's wondering wtf he's doing in there getting hit in the head & hitting another man in the head when he has 100M or more in his bank acct. Mentally I don't think AJ is there like he used to be & sh^t in fairness to the guy who would be. The way a guy who's got generational wealth is gonna view fighting isn't gonna be the same way a guy trying to get to generational wealth is gonna view fighting.

I am not arguing that AJ will beat Zhang. I agree that he will.
I am just debunking the logic that AJ beat Zhang in the amateurs therefore he will beat Zhang now. That logic is garbage.
