Here is my thing about the whole Floyd Mayweather Jr situation.
Sure he talks a lot and yes he does contradict himself sometimes
and of course he is about the money BUT I think people put too
much emphasis on Floyd not fighting the best. If you look at it
over all, it took 40 people to beat him and no one has done it
with exception to a debatable loss to Castillo the first time but
he did come back and beat Castillo more convincingly the second
time when Castillo was heavier than the first fight. He was weighing
as a WW in the fight with Floyd. Floyd showed he could beat Castillo
convincingly something Manny Pacquiao couldn't do with Juan Manuel
Marquez.
Everytime Floyd has fought a fighter in some form of fashion people
said that he was going to lose including with Baldomir because
of his size but once Floyd beat his opponents then they weren't top
notch but fact of the matter is that Floyd beat mostly champions and
undefeated fighters, isn't that what Boxing is supposed to be about?
I mean, I want to see him fight Mosley, Cotto, Manny, Williams,
whoever but sometimes I think people go at it too much from a
personal level and more of a they just want to see him lose apsect.
If you look at videos throughout his professional career and boxing
articles and interviews you can see that Floyd has called
out the best in each division and tried to make fights happen
but they didn't materialize for whatever reason.
I noticed though with a lot of people who critizice Floyd that they
never take these facts and documentations into consideration and
it's funny how many give Mosley a pass for turning down Floyd
because he wasn't a draw at the time and now Floyd is doing it to
Mosley and now he's ducking a guy he tried to fight twice already?
I think Floyd should fight Mosley because their both WW's and Mosley
is the man there now so it makes sense. I totally agree that Floyd
should man up and fight some elite at 147 but what I don't cosign
is all the hate homie gets when actually he tried or fought who he
needed to fight to get to where he is at. I think we should see what
he does because we never know exactly what Floyd is going to do
until he does it. BUT if he retires and disregards fighting any of the
top guys at 147 now that he is back then I think it is only right to
bash him and question his heart.

Any another thing I don't cosign is the fact that people keep
bringing up Floyd ducked Antonio Margarito? Look at what
Antonio Margarito has done in his career to win fights? Are
people that much desperate to discredit Floyd that they would
say that he ducked a man that obviously didn't have enough
talent to stand on his own but needed a substance to do it?
Margarito proved his worth by getting caught cheating and KO'd
in the same night. How can people continuously bring this guy
name up like he was a threat to a man that worked hard his
whole career to get to where he is in a legit fashion? Margarito
has always been an overrated 1 dimensional limited fighter and
now a known cheater.

Shane is on the outside looking in right now. there is more lucrative fights out there right now, in the Cotto/Manny sweepstakes. Shane did it to himself and him thinking that beating an overrated Margarito and struggling with Mayorga (who would get hit by bottle if threw it in the air), and struggling with a 1 handed Collazo made him hot, then shame on him.
He done had a many chance to raise his stock and he has sat on his hands chasing Pacquiao.
