He has a subtle defense, he doesn't get as much as it seems. He just was dancing in the middle of the ring and danced out. On his comments he realized that his foe did not hit as hard and then went at him because the plan was to box him at a distance.

I dont think Erg hits as hard as "HE" thinks he does. Matias just stood right in front of him, hands up. That's doesnt really happen when a guy is truly a hard puncher.

I don’t see anyone at 140 currently who could do it. Maybe Gary Antuanne Russell?

One thing for sure, Haney isn’t going to want any of that smoke.

Ergashev didn't want anymore. I guess he thought it was better to lose than try to continue fighting and attempt to work for the win. Not a good look when a guy quits. Some guys have the WILL to continue under much more difficult circumstances than Ergashev faced.

On reflection, that backstep Matias did in the first round maybe lulled Ergashev into thinking he could hurt him and stayed in the pocket and Matias took advantage of that.

This should had been the co-main event, feel like Charlo vs Benavidez is going to be a stinker.

You do know Matias has made his last 5 opponents quit 3 of them undefeated guys.

He's different and they know the Dadashev history unfortunately.

Something tells me this will be a snoozer. Even if it's not, it feels like it shouldn't be happening.
