    Pacquiao will beat Mayweather

    styles make fights

Master of Assault vs Master of Defense,

that's what it comes down to, and I'm more impressed with Pacquiao than Mayweather.

If he struggles with Cotto then I may change my mind, but currently right now I don't think he will - and if i'm right it just further inspires me to think that Pacquiao will beat Mayweather.

Mayweather pot shots and chooses to defend rather than return fire, by doing this I think Pacquiao will be all over him from round 1 and on. If you can't stop a guy moving up 2 weight classes who didn't even have a solid chin at featherweight, then I'm really starting to doubt what Mayweather's got in the power department.

Pacquiao hasn't legitimately hit the canvas since he was about 17 years old, when most guys are winning and losing in the amateurs. He's not going to be hurt by Mayweather. Nuff' said. Mayweathers only chance is to some how keep Pacquiao at bay for 12 rounds and block everything (which I don't think will be the case, If Marquez was able to land his slow punches) Pacquiao is just a completely different animal.

I could be terribly wrong, but I doubt it.

I just want to ask you people that why Mayweather Jr is not willing to fight with Sugar Shane, as he calling him to fight. Thanks

Meh I think Floyd would get a decision over Shane, even a sd. He'd do enough to win.

I'm not sure he beats Floyd, but it bothers me to see so many people now who think Floyd will destroy him. I think it's a pick 'em fight.

man. I think Pac's two wins except the Hatton fight is seriously over-rated. Anybody would have looked like superman againest that DLH.

Re-watch DLH-Pac please and tellme how he looks like a world beater againest him. All he did was move fast, throw a real quick left and right and move. DLH didn't at all press the action or hit him with a clean shot. DLH was too old, shot and drained to even make it competitive. Hatton on the other hand got smoked. It's like someone ate the hype skittles and spread it.

            fair enough, very sensible.

me to, I think it's a very close fight, I just edge it to Pacquiao.

I think a lot of guys could have beat DLH at 147, I agree. I think had Pacquiao known he was to come in at 147 he probably could have stopped him even sooner. You have to take into consideration Pacquiao has only recently moved up to 135, and then jumped to 147 - he looked pretty darn good when you consider the circumstances. Against Hattonhe had filled in more and it was only a given he'd destroy him.

however, I don't think to many guys could do what he did to Hatton in his best weight class and coming off a superb win.

I also think Mayweathers last fight is overated more so than Pacquiaos.

If Pacquiao had the reach he could beat Mayweather. But being a short he is compared to Mayweather, everytime he tries to throw a quick jab he could fail and get countered hard by the bigger Mayweather. Mayweather could block his shots, and Pac will land some but with Mayweathers defense - Pac will probably wear himself out where he plays into Floyd's hands. and Marquez at 130 didn't have the slow punches he did at WW, 130 was his best weight where he could time and land, he didn't belong at WW of course he looked slow

DLH was 5'10 1/2 with a 73" reach. He wasn't at his best but that has nothing to do with his size and reach. Pacquiao has a decent armpit to fist reach (23?) as well as inredible hand speed and footwork.

you are basing the reach factor off of Marquez who is a natural counter puncher - out side of his weight class (so he had no speed either). Hatton has a 65" reach and even he landed on Mayweather because of his speed on his feet.

dude, i like pac, but a great defense usually beats a good offense.... only an overwelming offense can beat a great defense... and i'm afraid pac is too small.

that doesn't mean floyd is better than pac.... its just a bad style match up for pac as is... but we can wait after the cotto fight to see what's up.
