I think he’s #2 behind Terence Crawford. I think there’s a legit argument for both but Inoue is yet to beat/dominate a fighter of the calibre of Errol Spence. That’s what gives Bud the edge for me.

What about when Inoue beats Tapales? Will that push him over Crawford?

Nah Tapales is B level fighter IMO. I think we all expect Inoue to beat him comfortably.

What makes their dominant wins over Fulton and Spence so impressive is many of us felt those fights would be very competitive.

Spence right now. It's close somewhat.

I have no doubts bud can be no1 in future, but I don't think bud campaigning as a WW for 5 years to best Spence, is worthy of no1.
Beat Tim tzsue at 154, then bud can be no1, and I'm sure he can. Shouldn't be no rush to be no1, if you can wait 5 years to show your no1 WW, I think bud can wait a little longer.
                  End thread.

Spence was a corpse on fight night. He said as far as back as 5 years ago that making 147 was tough. Dude was also damaged goods from the car accident.

Inoue went up to a new weight class and demand the number 1 mofo and then proceeded to box that ass off before stopping him.

                    Inoue's number 1.
