Well anyway, if Oscar can get promoters to put together a big fight card with top fighters--it will be a good thing.

I’m not sure why no one is mentioning this. But why would Shakur Stevenson ever fight again on an undercard?! Much less behind Ryan Garcia as the main event?! Laughable.

why not just put the Crawford Spence rematch on the same card and let him be the opening fight. And Fury/Usyk can be the next fight afterwards.

You mentioned Crawford only. That is ONE. Do you know how many boxers he has had? And how many of those boxers have not made even a "five figures" salary?
We tried to warn you newbie. Stay in your lane when you don’t know a damn thing about boxing or the history behind boxing. It really is a bad look. Just wait a few days, while reading how grown ups talk in a forum, then feel free to get involved. As long as we’re tracking……

these idiotic comments not from Oscar, but from the casual fans that don’t schit about boxing! Who the fk wouldn’t want to see an event like the one proposed by Oscar. In the hey day of the 80’s King promoted a card in Mexico city with multiple champions, the same card. Chavez, Trinidad, Norris. But all of these young bloods don’t remember this cause they are young and ignorant about the sport! I bet most of these comments come from YouTubers that believe the Pauls are real boxers! Pathetic mofos! Who gives a fk who goes first or last in a fight. With a card like this the arena will be full since the first opener. Guarantee!

" How about we put together " ODLH.

                    Fury vs Usyk
                    Canelo vs Benavidez
                    Tank vs Shakur
                    Beterbiev vs Bivol

                    so no GB fighters.

Yeah..... you hit this one. This kind of card is impossible to make because of the amount of pay-outs it would take. In Oscar's defense, he was just spitballing names to get people interested.

But I believe his point is valid, and one if taken in a vacuum no real boxing fan would argue. We have the politics of the worthless sanctioning organizations, sucking fees from the boxers for the privilege of their titles and providing exceptions and restrictions to protect their bigger money makers. You have different networks and streaming options, trying to angle their bigger draws and names to fights which will keep them winning and draws for their views. Then you have these promoters all trying to build up the names of their young stars and their protect the promotions big names. It is not "why don't we get bigger fights?". It is more like "How do we get big fights at all?" Throw in the competition from a mostly well run UFC and real life politics interfering, and boxing has a serious set of problems to navigate.

If these promoters could actually all just say "what the hell, let's try this" and even just do it on a smaller scale with a bunch of young guns on the undercard and one big fight to drive the headlines, it would be a massive step forward. I would buy it just to encourage them.
