Sure PBF did 1M buys against JMM but how many of those were because of Tecate rebates? $25 PPV numbers is not the same as $55!!

Both are huge draws, Pac has a country (actually a whole continent) behind him and both are probably equal draw in US.
    1) It's Tecate. Not Budweiser.

    2) Firepower sales will confirm or invalidate that

The problem here is that Floyd Mayweather is the draw and Manny Pacquiao is the fan favorite.

        The draw where?

Put Floyd in a fight against anyone other than Manny in Asia and I bet he doesn't draw 1/2 as much as Manny vs an average fighter. Europe is debatable who draws more it's probably equal. In America Floyd draws more. So like I said the draw where? I know some fans don't think of boxing outside this country but there are more places to fight than only here.

50/50 or this fight isn't happening. that's fair to both pac and pbf.

yeah, but we got to remember... floyd/jmm was promoted for 6-7 months and it happened on a mexican holiday.

pac/cotto only has 3 months of promotion and is not happening on a pinoy nor prican holiday

Lets remember, everyone said it would bomb and expected 500K. Instead it double that.

In terms of star power Manny is the biggest star worldwide just not in America.
The fight will take place in America and America is the biggest market for the fight money wise. I said early on in the post you responded to that Manny brings a lot to the table worldwide but he brings in less money then Floyd in my opinion even with that considered, also if this is Manny's last fight he lacks leverage because all his other options are small potatoes compared to Floyd in every possible way.

People in Asia do not buy the fight on PPV they will get it on free tv, sure those rights are worth a great deal but it would not equal $110 million ($55*2,000,000 buys).
