Comments Thread For: Jarrett Hurd Expects Canelo To Stop Jermell Charlo: "He Got Nothing For Canelo"

Most fighters, even before they pilfer a world title, believe that they are the best that their respective division has to offer. That, of course, is nothing more than conjecture. In the case of Jermell Charlo, however, his claim to the junior middleweight throne is an objective statement.

If his corner wouldn’t throw in the towel for Spence when he was getting impaled by Crawford then idk if that’s on the table for Charlo. That corner has a lot of pride. A bit too much if you ask me.

The biggest weight difference for Charlo will be the extra 2oz in his gloves.. he used to 8oz..

He can easily make 168. Can he easily throw punches with 10oz gloves, fighting the best the Super Middleweight division has to offer? I don't know..

147 is the last weight class to use 8oz gloves in boxing.

He's just giving his opinion. Women and soft black men call that 'hate' for some odd reason. Jermell is a good fighter, but what does he bring into the ring that Canelo hasn't seen before? The answer is nothing. Charlo has good endurance, but he fights in spurts, which is just what Canelo needs him to do. Despite his bravado, Charlo is going to be on the back foot working at the pace that Canelo sets - which is the worst thing a fighter can do against Canelo. Canelo will be in the ring with another taller, rangier fighter, but Charlo doesn't have anything close to the style, engine, power or boxing abilities of a Dmitry Bivol, so this is going to an interesting, but ultimately predictable fight next week. Canelo TKO9 Charlo.

Of course Hurd would say that because he defends punches with his face and goes straight in when he fights. He isn't known for utilizing ring movement, working the jab and fighting in spurts. He sees the only way of beating Canelo by running over him with size and fighting him head on. Working behind a strong jab, moving, tying Canelo up and cracking him hard with shots is a style that will beat Canelo.

                  Charlo isn’t Floyd or Crawford
I think has a loss to a lesser fighter in Harrison
