Reading this thread, I feel like I have a addiction to boxing that may not be healthy. Some people feel that $45 PPV is too much for this fight.

      Well what about this.
I spent $900+ for 3 Tickets to the fight(2 tickets are for family), $150 for a room , probably gonna be another $200 for food and transportation, and yeah I am spending the $45 on the PPV, so I can watch it when I get home. I am not alone, there are over 13,000 people that will have spent as much or more.

Boxing needs fan support. If every fan stopped going to fights, and stopped supporting the sport with thier wallets, boxing would die. Boxing does not have the Network support, and has very little commercial sponsors. Its the paying fans that keeps the sport alive.

I must be sick in the head though.

what the hell? if anything this is one of the few ppvs worth buying.......even if it isnt a all out brawl I still love to watch 2 world class boxers face off against each other to see who is best.

Morales lost his last fight, and his title. Pac`s last BIG fight was against Marquez, it was a draw but i thought he just about lost it and these fighters are without titles, they had recent title fights and DID NOT WIN THEM!
So, why should one pay out full whack for fighters unable to win world titles in recent fights? Huh???
Well.....because Pac is overrated and just a bully? Cos Morales WAS champion?
I agree that 50 odd dollars is too much to watch a non title fight that really has little impact on the divison since Barrera is the man.
Because both guys bring it all to the ring, and will definately give us one hell of a fight. Very possibly fight of the year material..belt or no belt. It will be an action packed fight, and any true fan of the sport WONT miss it!

Slipx it is idiotic to say you'd pay $45-50 for Gatti vs. Ward but not Pac vs. Morales. See, Pac and Morales actually matter. Gatti and Ward don't. Morales and Pac are actual champions/contenders. Gatti and Ward are not. Gatti vs. Ward was only 10 rounds each time. It was two unskilled fools hitting each other with everything they had.

Pac vs. Morales is between two boxers with actual skills.

I'm not going to be disappointed if this does turn into a boxing chess match. I'd love for Pac and Morales to be more strategic in their attacks. I think Morales will definitely start out with a good strategy. And if he's aware of not going crazy, he can maintain his strategy to box Pac and beat him on points, even knock him out late after Pac has worn himself out.

Then, Pac may realize that he kept trying too hard for the 1 punch KO against JMM. Pac could conserve some of that energy this time and surprise Morales and box him. We just don't know what is going to happen.

Every fight has the potiential to be a flop. Some are almost guaranteed flops. Brewster vs. Golota, guaranteed to suck. Same with Klitschko vs. Williams, Ruiz vs. almost anybody, etc.

Some people actually say Judah vs. Corley was boring. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Some people probably somehow liked that ****** Castillo bore me to sleep in his match with Diaz. Umm...clearly I didn't.
