Looks like it's time for Donaire to hang it up.

Donaire should really think about hanging them up after this. His style relies on speed/reflexes that he no longer has. He's been a step behind Santiago for the majority of the fight. He can still take a good punch and dish out a great punch, but that's about it. He shouldn't wait for his punch resistance to deteriorate before he decides to retire.

Donaire looked rather good the first four/five rounds but his age caught up with him after.

I know that but if you watch interview today and one from a few years ago, he was definitely more lucid sounding then, even with the accent and his lazy way of speaking

That's it, fight goes the distance and Santiago has earned a win here against the Filipino Flash. Waiting for the official result.

Should be a clear decision for Santiago, and retirement for Donaire.

I don’t know how Donaire is doing financially in life with his family but he needs to hang them up. He had an awesome run in his prime so it’s not like he has anything to prove.

How would a Santiago vs Jason Moloney unification go?
